Observations from my 1st App game in a couple of years: App State still isn’t good at basketball ... Also in other news, water is wet and the sky is blue.

UTA’s women are the closest thing to a 1 player team I have ever seen. Their big had 31 points and 18 rebounds and they still trailed all game on the way to a loss

I think I get more jealous of App’s basketball arena every year, not their basketball team, but their arena is nice.

Eh...not saying App is great, but based on this one experience, I'd say losing by one to this GS team isn't a bad beat by any means, even at home.

Before today s games home teams were 20-8 in conference game but the road wins are increasing. Today all 4 games that are over were won by road teams— GS Ga St Troy and Texas St. 2 games left— ULM at Louisiana and UTA at Ark St

To be honest, didn’t think GS was that good either. Niether team can really shoot.
App has been bad this whole decade. Only good team I remember since I was in school was ‘07 that went to the NIT. I usually attend a couple ACC games a year so I’m use to better basketball. But I guess I can’t ask too much from a football school. But still pull hard for em.

You didn’t see a GS team tonight that others have. I certainly wouldn’t say we can t shoot— maybe subpar tonight but we have a number of very good shooters. Our guard play is arguably the best in the Sun Belt

We don't shoot that well.

We're one of the top scoring offenses in the conference because our offensive rebounding and athleticism. I fully expect to be in the top 3 at season's end, though.

GaSouthern was going through the motions today and App let them off the hook.

GS had a guard, #4 I believe, that was automatic late in the game with driving into the paint and making some heavily guarded layups or floaters. He was the difference in the game.

Someone made UTA very angry, and they proceeded to take it out on us for 40 minutes of excruciating, painful, basketball. I imagine Hawaiians had a better morning than most of us watching this basketball game did. A Nuclear explosion would have at least wiped our basketball team off the face of the planet.

UTA wins 97-71

Starters pulled out at the 8 minute mark. I can't wait until next Thursday at Arlington. I will be the one in red. 02-13-banana

The bottom four teams in the conference to this point have five wins. UTA is two of those. Hopefully, the culprit wasn’t Little Rock, App or Coastal, it was themselves. Sorry excuse of a start to conference play.

You guys are incredibly confusing for sure. Watching you guys today, I couldn't figure out how on earth you were 2-3 in league heading in. 5 Senior starters, two first team all league guys in Neal and Hervey, and a 7 footer inside to just grab all the loose balls.

No matter how atrocious we looked today (And considering Balado got so angry he threw a chair against a wall and broke it at halftime, it was pretty bad) you guys played about as flawless a first half as I've ever seen. Even if we had played well, we probably are still down 6-8 points at half.

Welcome to our world. How on earth do we beat BYU on the road, lose by a point to a ranked Alabama team and go 9-4 in non-conference, but get destroyed by Coastal, Little Rock and (for all intents and purposes) App?
