I added USTVNOW to my Roku. It is free and you get a lot of channels including the big networks live. For a little extra you get more, including DVR. It was developed for US Military overseas, but is available stateside as well.

Actually Roku removed it from the channel store citing copyright issues.

RE: Semi-OT: Cable & Satellite Subscriber Totals
Sidenote: Here in Amarillo, TX the CBS station added MeTV to their sub-channel lineup due the OTA viewers increasing from 11% to 18% in the last 5 years. And we know that number will keep growing.
Numbers like these show that cord cutting is real and why l see Sinclair has been making room for Stadium with thier OTA stations.

States that Comcast is raising cable prices 2.2% and AT&T is raising Direct TV prices up to $8 in mid-January.

Also, states that smaller providers are increasing their rates also.

I have no doubt that more will be 'cord-cutting' or 'cord-shaving' and it will accelerate more this year than last year.

Some interesting facts to know as we analyze these numbers throughout the year.
Neilson TV Households for 2017-2018 TV season: 119.6 million.

From the article: Pay TV households 97.5 million.
Breakdown: 94 million is from cable/satellite, 3.5 million OTT services (Sling, PS Vue, Direct TV...etc)

This leaves OTA only households at: 22.1 million (#TV households - Pay TV households)

Fun Fact: Estimated Total households is 125.6 million (in 2016). Households with no TV: 6 million.

I'll see if I or we (with your collaboration) can do some estimation updates throughout the year as we get info throughout 2018 of the number cable/satellite subscriber losses and OTT and OTA gains. Quarterly reports are coming out next week so we should hear some details soon about the cable/satellite companies.

This will start to play a big role for several conferences as TV contracts will start to be negotiating later this year.

So based on these figures---

Traditional linear pay TV still represents about 79% of the viewing audience. Streaming TV services represent less than 3% of the total audience. OTA+streaming represents about 18% of the total audience. Any conference suggesting moving away from linear TV for the dominant portion of their TV package is essentially eliminating 79% of their potential exposure for most of their content. Any conference suggesting moving to a digital format with no significant national OTA footprint (looking at you Mountain West Conference) is essentially eliminating 97% of the potential exposure.

I just dont see going all digital at this juncture as a very wise proposition for a FBS conference. This also indicates to me that the cable death watch is far more hype than reality.

Unless the only option to get afternoon games is to go that route. If a game on linear TV starts so late that nobody is going to see it, does it really matter? I think the people who are watching streamed games are more than we think. It's not like viewers don't know or are strangers to streaming with Netflix at over 65 million US subscribers.
Somebody will take the chance and seems like with the MAC, Sunbelt and A10 pretty much all in with ESPN+ it has already started.
I think the MW is going to pull a surprise on people as they seem to always do. I may be hoping for my selfish purposes, but we may have Stadium as a leading network. With leading games on their main channel that is on OTA, Pluto TV and OTT devices.

Still have a year away to see what changes happen.
