My understanding is that those were along the lines of the initial billboard, but it was a combination of UCF and the billboard company that forced them to tone it down.

Been reading the board for awhile, first post...

I'm a 35+ year UCF fan that is incredibly proud and celebrated and celebrated and taunted every SEC fan on Twitter/SBNation/Yahoo etc but maybe it's time to cool that down a bit, including billboards, and focus on next season. We still have many players returning so I think we can make a better statement by recruiting well & keeping the momentum going and beating everyone including North Carolina, Pittsburgh and ESPN's new darling FAU and win them all and become the first G5 team in the playoffs. Can you imagine a Alabama vs UCF playoff/championship game? If we win them all next year and can't sniff the playoffs then it's jihad time.

No such thing as bad publicity. Especially when you are unknown and looking for it.

FYI...for those who either don't like and/or don't understand the purpose of the billboard.

The primary intent was not to troll Alabama. It was to highlight the hypocritical scheduling practices of P5 powers and troll P5 apologist talking heads on TV. They all tell schools like UCF to schedule harder, but at the same time refuse to schedule a home and home series to give us the OPPORTUNITY to improve our schedule.

The secondary intent was to remind people that UCF...the only team to go undefeated, the other team that received #1 votes in the AP Poll, and the team that finished #1 in one of the computer rankings recognized by the NCAA as a major selector...was never given the chance to play it out on the field.

It got quite a lot of positive publicity on websites & twitter accounts of ESPN, Sports Illustrated, CBS Sports, Fox Sports, Athlon and more. The only people that really reacted negatively are the ones you would expect...SEC Country and Saturday Down South.
