That was about 4500-5000 even with school not back in session yet. Very few students. What's y'all's average?

Lol, Tech’s avg is 7k if MTSU had 5k there tonight.

You do realize they had several shots of the whole arena. Bad showing for TV.

Maybe 2500 probably 30% of the blue

I said MTSU was the best team last year early on and after Tech played them. This year without Jacorey Williams and Upshaw, MTSU is not as solid in the post. I still think MTSU will a top 4 seed

BTW Tech is not even in the conversation bad play all around

Marshall played much better in the second half and the game was never in doubt with a 10 point or more lead throughout the half. This was without Marshall's best player who I hope will be back for ODU. If so, it should be a good game. This team finds ways to push the ball and win when we are down players and others are having off-nights. It is just fun to watch.

I don't see Dan playing Penava at ODU unless Penava is close to 100%. I would really like a win in Norfolk but Penava's health is more important. His ankle is only sprained, it was speculated at 1st it might be broke.

Arena seats 12K. So, you are saying only 16% of capacity there last night. Roger that bud. I've got some ocean front in AZ. Let's talk.

It definitely thinned out as the game wore on due to the late start. Won't deny that but 2K is laughable in the first half and you should be ashamed for bringing up attendance (again because it's just a dumb issue) when Tech is barely pulling 2K from a program that has won more games than MT over the past five years.

I'm not saying it was good. I'm disappointed as well. Would have liked to have seen a better show but it is what it is, and it's asinine for people to bring this up every time somebody plays.

RE: 1/11 and 1/13 basketball action
Ice and snow apocalypse forecasted for this morning probably scaring some of our more skittish locals, schools closing announced for Friday midday yesterday, so I imagine some were buying out bread and milk at the local grocery stores after they got home from work last night, even though it was in the sixties at game time. Probably be worse for Southern Miss Saturday after the weather moves through. Disappointed with our candy-*** fair weather fans...

Good game. Latech always tough, and with Giddy in foul trouble early, I really didn't feel comfortable about a W until about two or three minutes left.

I refuse to accept, but continue to be reminded how poor this LaTech team defends the post. Average post players continue to post career numbers against our beanpole 7ft’er and the other random assortment of young and undersized bigs we have.

Powell is showing some promise as a sophmore

That 6-10 JC transfer that Konkel got hasnt even seen the floor, he must not be an good option.

Sherman was good get from JC and had played at Miami when Konkel was there, but he couldnt pass. If he was playing I believe this team would be considerably better

We need to be recruiting some post players.

Marshall has some scorers and they are fun to watch. I thought Charlotte would get thumped last night and it really didn't happen. If their PF had been there maybe it would have. Based on the teams on the floor, if Marshall had shot their average from the FT line (76%), instead of 86% the game might have gone the other way. The Herd hit 100% of their FT shots in the first half! If Charlotte had gotten any scoring off the bench it could have gone the other way. Basically, if Charlotte had not played exactly like Charlotte, we might have had a chance, but we are who we are.

I do appreciate Coach Dan stopping at JC Penny on the way into town and buying a sports coat to wear over his t-shirt. Maybe he had a date after the game?

It was fun to watch. It was a game of runs.tou guys looked really good at times. Just keep it up, and it will get better. You already took the first step in getting rid of Judy.

Also, you can't tell me that Dantoni isn't the most well dressed coach in the conference. :)

MTSU won't run away with it because WKU is up there with them, but not much parity beyond that. Will take a flash in the pan at the tournament for someone other than those 2 to win it.

I see MTSU losing at least a couple on the road. They are well coached but not as athletic as last season. Still a 1 or 2 more than likely

After our two new guys get acclimated to the team, we could be pretty solid
