Yep. Iowa State didn't make the final rankings. Memphis did. You have to consider the entire season, not just the high spots.

Grading a season is about more than just who was ranked where. Imo, Iowa State punched massively over its historical weight this year, with three great wins. Not sure they've ever had 3 ranked wins in a season before. If they had expectations for 4-8 and finished 8-5, that's an A+ year in my book.

Didn't they change QBs after a few games (Texas?)? I agree, should be rated higher. SMU on the other hand was more like a C, since they did not exceed expectations.
