Sorry the highest I would give UH for last season is a D. A C+ must be with some kind of curve.

A bouncy C is fair for UC. Only year one of the colonic cleanse after that last deadbeat coach and a roster that was a smoldering ruin.

This is grades versus expectations, that's why I don't think ECU is an F or Houston is D. ECU was always going to be poopy and Houston had a coaching transition with QB question marks. I think a C- is fair for UC...we were in for a rough go of it, but had some bright spots and some young players showing out.

Kind of a silly concept but whatever. Remembering that Tulane was one shady call at the goal-line away from 6-6, I’d be inclined to put us in the B– category.

How is Iowa State not an A+ with wins over 12-2 Oklahoma, 11-3 TCU, and 10-3 Memphis? That's gotta be their best season ever.

Because they had 5 losses. If they could beat those teams, they underperformed. At least, that's the way I would see it.

Yep. Iowa State didn't make the final rankings. Memphis did. You have to consider the entire season, not just the high spots.

Temple B- is appropriate. Early terrible losses to ND and USF; loss to UConn; blown out by UCF. QB switch game 7, won 3 of last 4 to be bowl eligible; beat ECU, Tulsa, and Cincinnati handily; dominated the bowl game against FIU. Owls look promising for 2018, Coach Collins 2nd year, QB Nutile 2nd year as starter, young D coming back.

But it's a good conference so I would grade on a curve and give 32%.
