Yeah the likely need to go 10-4 the rest of the way just to have a chance. So a split with Wichita would give the only 3 other losses the could absorb and today isn’t one of them. They need to win.

We need one of the better teams on record to snag an upset against Wichita for NCAA bids. Tulsa could help us get that 4th bid with a win here.

Eh... disagree. Houston, ucf, temple smu beating wichita would help with more bids. A tulsa team that might not sniff the NIT...not so much

Whats the parking situation at Reynolds? I assume the lots on the north side of 8th st. are reserved for donors so whats my best bet?

If you get there about 2 hours before the game you *might* be able to seek into a reserved lot. All the major parking lots on campus are reserved for those with parking passes.

Otherwise you have to park on neighborhood streets north of 4th street, South of 11th Street, or East of Harvard.

You can also park at Prosperity Bank which is at 13th and Harvard. Not a bad walk. And I think some may even park at the elementary school off 11th and Delaware, but I never have.

What's the logic of Temple's inconsistent play? Anyone have a reasonable guess other than saying Temple sucks?

A few thoughts on this:
Coaching. Fran Dunphy runs what is called a motion offense, but many times its one guy dribbling for 20 seconds on the perimeter with 4 guys standing around a late pass to a covered guy an off balance 3 shot. Bad play is not punished with diminished minutes. Straight up man to man D no full court no zone. Won’t call timeout when opponent is on a run or we are in a drought. No energy in recruiting.
Players. When shots aren’t falling (and this happens to all teams) a team needs to stop the other team scoring. The 2 ways to do this are defense and rebounding. Both of these are in the players control through hustle and hard work. Too often our players don’t feel like it. We also tend to want to hit 3s not realizing that drives to the basket can also result in 3 point plays as well as keeping the opponent D honest.
As an Owls fan it is extremely frustrating to watch a talented team play directionless disinterested and inconsistent play. If we had an untalented team, that’s one thing, but we have enough impressive wins to show that the talent is there but the heart and head are not.

Park on the North end of the campus by the law school on East 4th Street off Harvard for $10 and enjoy the free shuttle to the game.

After watching parts of 3 or 4 Temple games this year this analysis seems spot on to me.

Thanks for the info. Temple has certainly been an enigma this year & I've only seen two impressive wins. Been scratching my head on some of the losses I haven't seen.

Also perfect description for Tulane under Dunleavy. It's only year two and there hasn't been anyone on the roster to play inside, but it's almost the exact same script everytime we lose.

We're only competitive in low scoring, ugly games. I'll take the 8 point halftime lead...

This team actually can't shoot the 3. This is about the 10th time they've come out shooting 30% early in a game. If they want to shoot the three then they need to hit the gym and practice. They're shooting their way to losses right now.

We're playing our usual, live and die by the long ball. I hate it! But man you guys are missing wide open layups! I didn't realize how bad it's gotten under Ollie! Not good.

The bigs are all too young and too soft.

...and they are down eight to this UConn team. Game is far from over, but this a huge indictment on Tulane.

In just 90 seconds, an 8 point UConn lead evaporates.

31-30 with 18:30 to play. UConn is not covering open shooters.

44-41 UConn at 12:00. Tulane's offense woke up, but Vital and Adams are hitting high difficulty shots to nurse the lead.

53-41 UConn. Tulane is missing open shots outside. The forwards for Tulane do not look like Division I players.

There is a serious talent issue at Tulane.
