athletes Kemon Smith (Landry-Walker DL) and Garland LaFrance (St. Aug RB)..

(Viva La France! 04-cheers)

Understand some folks think recruiting talk is silly....which is OK if ya feel that way...but fans like me just enjoy all the scenarios involved. Also understand the "star system" is political, abstract and sometimes baffling; which is why I enjoy it, but don't take it seriously!04-cheers

The staff is on 3 or 4 backs right now. Not sure which one they prefer. None of them are big backs at all. A couple are really small speed guys. One is in the 190 range and is more of an every down looking back.

Looking hard at Trivenskey Mosley, a hot shot RB from "Shrevesport" (LA) Woodlawn...
Seems grades aren't a problem but ACT is (Heck..just take it twice like I did and add em up!)...probably worth taking a chance on since, well, it's something programs like our'n just gotta do!04-cheers

It seems like the staff has already moved on to the 2019 class for the most part. We’ve only got 3 or 4 spots left for 2018. So they’re trying to get a head start of 2019 while a lot of schools are still trying to fill 2018 spots. Everybody recruits juniors now but I don’t ever remember seeing a USM staff make this big of a push on the next years class before the current one has even signed.

We already have 3 2019 commitments. All 3 have been committed for months. I can’t ever remember that happening. I was told by someone that knows a member of our staff a few weeks ago that they thought the 2019 class could be special. They’ve gotten in early on some highly rated kids for next year. Now I’m not expecting a class with several 4 stars or anything because that’s just not realistic right now. It’s early and a million things will happen over the next year, but they think have a decent shot at several guys next year that already have some decent P5 offers. Now for all I know it’s a bunch of hot air but I’m hoping for a really good class next year.

Yep...we need to recruit classes that can friggin' beat teams in C-USA before we can move to anything bigger or better!
