Case Keenum is a rookie following his 12th year of eligibility at Houston.

He was a 6th year senior, which I think is the longest I have seen. Has there ever been a 7th year senior ?

Sounds like an O’Leary QB to me.

He’s never been the most polished QB. He’s inconsistent throughout his career. But He always seems to keep the ball moving in big games. Horribly inaccurate passes followed up by big 3rd down conversions in crunch time.

I have seen multiple 6th year Seniors in college, but never a 7th. RS year and then get a year back for injury is not THAT uncommon.

Believe it or not, there actually IS a 7th year senior. Had to do a search just to see and lo and behold, there is one. ONE.

Meet Texas Tech's seventh-year "super senior" Tony Morales

It would be pretty damn cool to have the two starting qbs in the super bowl come out of CUSA/AAC schools.

And the Houston Texans coach is an idiot

I can't believe O'Brien got extended. I don't think he's a very good NFL head coach.

This ^^^

And what's even more bothering, the new Texans GM is from the same Rick Smith tree... Unthinkable hire... My

lol @ the typical haters who think Bortles sucks.

Just hilarious. Before this weekend's game he was the 12th ranked QB in the NFL. Maybe that doesn't seem great but it's pretty damn good when you consider that he's been throwing to no-name rookies for the entire season and has some of the worst receivers in the NFL (Marquis Lee). On Sunday I saw AT LEAST 3-4 drops on easy, perfect passes.

Bortles damn near set Jacksonville single season records for yards and TDs in the past 3 years, often doing so without a running game to speak of an a truly awful offensive line. 2 years ago he had the most rushing TDs on the team, which I think was 3. It was pathetic.

But whatever- he sucks!

Bortles also got very little support from the rest of the team until 2017.

Look at Vinny Testaverde. Look at how lousy he looked in Tampa. Then he goes to Cleveland/Baltimore and then the Jets and he looked like a totally different player.

To be fair to him, he has a barely competent GM and has only had a competent NFL QB for one half of a season and been hit by the injury bug. JJ Watt, Mercilus and Watson all lost time to injuries. He's a good coach considering he's consistently made the playoffs with third string QB's.
