Thanks, I thought he did a great job with it. I wonder about some of those covering famous riffs not being better known, a few of them have some serious skills.
Yep, that's good and takes a lot of practice. I think like you said it's "deceptively hard" since he is just playing through scales but when he descends down the neck on the same string, that is NOT easy to do.
Do you know what song he is playing that to? Is it a particular song or is he just jamming to a track?

Yes, it's called Don't Think It Matters by Status Quo. They have always been known for that kind of guitar work, supposedly easy chords that turn out to be very hard. They also wrote the first example, Lonely Man. The band's first incarnation did some great work.
