None of this started until the twice-banned poster had to bring up WSU on a night WSU wasn't playing.

So if we're playing the blame game, there ya go.. like always.
That's alright; the UConn fans used to be arrogant also. Then they had to play a few seasons with real programs to understand. :)

I'm kidding 100%

I assume that you guys have banners hanging from the rafters of your arena from the championships in 61 and 62 ?

If so, I would like to get some pictures. I am trying to put together a wall paper montage of all of the national titles won by AAC teams:

UConn men's and women's BB
Cincinnati men's BB
UCF football
SMU football (81' and 82')
Tulsa (NIT)

Anyone else ?

WSU baseball (1989)
WSU basketball (NIT)

UConn is the greatest traditional power in th AAC (I would walk through hot coals for just one NC). They can and should and will eventually resume their rightful place.

No disrespect toward UConn, but do they have any tradition outside of Calhoun. I am only aware of their success post 1990. Is there a certain amount of structure in place to continue their 30 years of success. For example, UNLV does not have the structure for whatever reason. They were a team that was absolutely dominant from the mid 80's through the early 90's but fell off the map when Tark retired.

UCF's football team averages more points per game than our basketball team.

We may go into the record books for Most Anemic Offense

i hear ya. i've made it be known that i f*cking sucks being in this conference. i always liked a bunch of the teams from the good old days, still do. but man, those days don't seem to be coming back. makes me really long for our cusa years. lots of dead weight, but a solid nucleus of good teams with a lot of history. stupid ass college football. but i've come to accept that this is conference we deserve, so f*uck it. go american. yee haw

as far as wichita st fan's comments about our offense being painful to watch, be lucky you at least get to watch. mick can turn a competent offensive skill set into a team of power hitting pitchers who are only allowed to practice bunting. and it works. tis the maestro ladies and gentleman. if you think about it, he'll wow ya

“Traditional” was probably not the right word to use. The word “successful” is more appropriate.

No, “successful” is the right word. No one else in our conference has come close to four NC’s. The recent timeframe only adds to the relevancy of their status as the most successful program in the AAC. As a Tiger fan, I wish it was not the case. 03-wink
