Saw that Florida State and Clemson will at least be 5 weeks apart on Louisville's schedule -- usually they are only 2-3 weeks away from each other.

Well that is good news. After Alabama folds up backwards in the first game we will need those extra weeks to heal....03-weeping

Well if BC goes undefeated at least they will look good doing so considering the murderer's row schedule they got in the 2nd half(NCSU, Lou, UM, VT, Clem, and FSU).

RE: ACC Football Schedule Release Wednesday 2 PM
Miracle of miracles.....for the first time since 2015 we don't have to play one of the minor league Thursday or Friday games. It's an even numbered year so our home conference slate is always garbage but it got a little bit more garbage sprinkled on top with Duke rotating on. Looks like a lean year for ticket prices as South Carolina is likely the only premium game on the schedule.

It is one of the easiest schedules UVa has had in half a decade. I see very likely 5 wins and 3 losses and then the other 5 games are toss ups. Even if the Hoos only win 2 of those then they go 7 and 5 and bowling again. Depending on new talent developing and injuries, it is reasonable to go as high as 9 and 3, but will not be in contention for acc division title either way.

Yeah that last one didn't work out too well.

I know we are (contractually optioned to take one each season if offered)...playing Louisville this fall on Friday.

You do have an incredibly easy non-conference schedule this year with Richmond, Liberty, Ohio, and Indiana. With the way Virginia looked the last half of the season though, I have a hard time seeing player development allowing for a 9-3 year, but who knows.

From a UVA fan perspective, who do you include in the "likely 5 wins" outside of the three G5/FCS opponents? IU and UNC?

I'm guessing you have Miami and Virginia Tech among the losses. Who's the 3rd likely loss from your perspective? At NC State?

RE: ACC Football Schedule Release Wednesday 2 PM
I nominate this as the toughest six game stretch anyone will play this fall:

Florida St's #5-10 games.

@ Louisville (8 wins)
@ Miami (10 wins)
Wake Forest (8 wins)
Clemson (12 wins)
@ NC State (9 wins)
@ Notre Dame (10 wins)

Six straight opponents who collectively averaged 9.5 wins in 2017, and four of the six are on the road. The 'Noles will likely start that stretch 3-1 or 4-0, but that's brutal.

Only if you consider a statement of fact shade. You aren't a rival or a big game in our eyes. Nothing personal, just the fact.

Let's see if Paul Johnson teaches them to finish the last 5 yards in week one this year. Not that I'm bitter...

I think the other two likely wins are Pitt and UNC which are at our home field. Plus they are in the back half of the season and rookies should be seasoned enough to play well by then, and hopefully no serious holes due to injuries at that point. Yes, the 3rd likely loss is probably NC State.

Cal, ECU, UCF, and Western Carolina...this could be an embarrassing season if everybody gets hurt again. Maybe a favorite vs the Thundercats? The seat is hot.

Oh I wouldn't call us a true rival yet either, but to deny we have had GameDay salivating at our games and that ALL OF THEM have been sell outs!!!

RE: ACC Football Schedule Release Wednesday 2 PM
Rivalry week looks solid:

UVA - VT
UNC - NC St
Duke - Wake
BC - Cuse
Pitt - Miami
UL - UK
Clem - SC
GT - UGA
FSU - UF

I’d like to see the Carolina schools switch it up every now and then like UNC vs Duke and State vs Wake. Maybe even UNC vs Wake and State vs Duke when they’re scheduled.
