Good for him and props for completing a difficult degree

Good luck and thanks for a great last season

The Oklahoma elite 11 QB transfer will now probably be the favorite if he wasn't already

Wishing him the best of luck. With him finishing his degreee if he is not wanting to move on to the next level of football then this is the right choice. Lots of things in motion for FAU right now.

Yea, I heard this rumor during the C-USA Champ game. I thought he was going to see how thing played out during the spring, but from what I heard Robison is the truth.

How? He wasn't great kid and smart decision, why give 30 hours a week to football when there is no next step.

You do realize he was talking about you, not Driskel, right?

At any rate, countless players play with no next step every single year, not saying Driskel shouldn't walk away if his heart isn't in it, or he's simply ready to move on, but there being no next step, in and of itself, is not reason to quit.

Wasn't another Florida team on their 3rd QB this year? One in hand; two in bush indeed.

I think he was 3rd team coming into this past season.....

I seem to recall a lot of talk about how the kid from Fla St/last chance U was the "truth"

Lot more to football than just talent...especially being a QB. I would have ranked Driskel as a low level QB coming into last season. By the end of it he ran his team as well as any QB in CUSA.

A manager can be a difference maker

So a highly intelligent kid and competent QB quits football to make way for an idiot who broke a girl's face in.

Robison is probably going to start. Not Johnson.

Johnson made one mistake. A girl at a bar was punching and kicking him and he swung back Terrible but one mistake his whole life

Johnson was a great and smart citizen before and after that incident He had to go from fsu to juco and paid other ways for his mistake

Judging from your dbag persona on here , I doubt you've lived a perfect life. Better be careful throwing stones

I wish Driskel would stick around and compete and be a good leader for the other guys, but I am not going to blame him for choosing academics when he feels he probably won't win the job.

The “kid from Last Chance U” was injured, Daniel Parr had a tendency of making too many mistakes. Don’t get me wrong Driskel was a tough Qb and great game manager. The Oklahoma transfer has been here for a while, I have a feeling he maybe our go to if Deandre doesn’t recover well from his arm surgery.
