It's unfortunate you didn't get MT's A-game as that would have given you a better indication on whether you can win the league. Worst game we've played this year. You can be assured you won't see the same team in March.

Good luck until then.

Yo are a condicinding lil prick. Nick King is decent for a one year rental, but Marshall shut him down. Whats wrong can't your coach find a develop a big man MT always gets a one year rental.

Why does this always have to go to extremes. Excuses left and right. Our defense disrupted you and we wanted it more. It's simple really. No we arent the better team, but we were tonight on this ONE single night. We aren't a better defense than Miami or Auburn, but tonight we we're batter than you. Take the loss like a good sport and move on. Can you just say well played defense, had us off our game, get you next time (and you probably will). Some times a better team loses because a lesser team rises up for that given game, it's why we don't play it paper.

If we wouldn't have had so many bobbled balls, dropped passes, balls thrown away and the outcome would have stayed the same I would have totally said that. We were uncharacteristically bad handling the ball tonight. Perhaps the outcome would have been the same had we played this game like we've played every other game this year. Perhaps? I don't know. It's just hard to fathom how careless we played with the ball. It was not normal and it wasn't necessarily because Marshall was doing anything special on defense. Penava definitely affected our offense in the paint area. I already acknowledged that fact earlier. But it's not like we haven't gone up against good shot blockers this year.

Again, my bigger concern for us right now is the trend or direction our offense is taking. King was dominant in the non-conference. He's not really looked the same the past couple of weeks.

Let's see if I can try this.... IF we played even better we win by more... IF we had more rebounds we win by more... IF we made more threes we win by more.

IF, IF, IF...

You can do it, say it with me now... Marshall was the better team on this night, in this game, and beat us by playing better basketball. The we beat ourselves cause we are so awesome we can't lose to Marshall is a sore loser look.

I was asked a question and answered. If you don't like it feel free to ignore it.

I especially take exception to what I bolded above, because I didn't and haven't said anything remotely contradicting any of that. I simply made a statement at halftime that it wasn't so much the defense as it was we were playing poorly on offense particularly with unforced turnovers - which if you watched the game you sure saw them. So, here's an IF. If you can't see that we played especially bad on offense particularly as a result of way too many unforced errors and such then I don't know what to tell you.

Damn, you Marshall fans are damn near as bad as wkcc fans. You won the game. Y'all got the frailest of egos on here. Jeez.

GG MTSU fans. MU was lucky to win this one, both teams played hard and both made lots of bad T/O's. You guys are still the kings of CUSA till someone knocks you off in the tourney. Giddy must be 30 by now, no? Great player and can't wait for him to get gone.

We don't get Giddy near enough shots. That's one thing I like about Marshall's system. Y'all make sure Elmore and Burks get their shots.

Giddy is one of the best shooters in the country but has about 100 less shots taken than your two guys. Just don't understand it.

I wonder if something wasn't physically right w/ him tonight. I was at the game an hr. early(didn't know it was 8pm instead of our nearly always 7pm start) and watched the teams warm up and Giddy didn't shoot at all till around 10 mins. before the game. He stretched, passed, did drills but just didn't seem the ball of energy that he has for the last 7 yrs. against us. I love Kermit, he's clearly a HOF coach and don't want to question him, but I agree w/ you about not getting Giddy and King really involved more in your offense tonight. Still a hard fought game, GL till we head to Murfreesboro.

Congrats Herd.

Penava played like a man possessed tonight.

King was clearly not at full strength.
