Meanwhile, JMU MTEN lost 6-1 at home earlier today to UNCW to move to 2-2 in the CAA.

WTEN wins at UNCW today to move to 16-1 overall and 3-0 CAA.

Next up: Radford at home, Tuesday, 3pm.

Toughest match of the season follows next Saturday at W&M (the only CAA team in this week's ITA National Top 50 at #45).

Interesting that they could not arrange for the COC match to be moved to indoor courts.

Women seem to be having their way with Radford early. Swept the doubles matches.

WTen ended up winning the match 4-0 and moved to 17-1 on the season. The match was called after JMU won the 4th to clinch the match because of rain. Not that it mattered, since JMU was up one set to none in the three unfinished matches because, as we all know, Dukes crush.

4-seed JMU MTEN dropped the doubles point to 5-seed Drexel in this morning's quarterfinal opener at the CAAT (at Elon).

Hopefully, the singles matches can find 4 wins for the Good Guys.

WTEN gets the doubles point over UNCW. Here's hoping they can make quick work in singles, win 4-0, and then get back to the team hotel to rest up for tomorrow.

In the WTEN CAAT, 6-seed CoC just upset 3-seed Delaware, 4-1. The Good Gals are up 3-0 and putting the finishing touches on their first round matchup against UNCW. Assuming the Dukes finish them off, it sets up a semifinal match Saturday against 6-CoC at 2pm.

WTEN gets it done today (4-1 over CoC). This sets up a 2-seed (JMU) vs 1-seed (W&M) match Sunday at 2pm for the conference title and berth into the NCAAT. W&M defeated Elon today 4-2.

W&M is the only CAA team ranked this week at #41 in the nation.

WTen dropped their match against W&M yesterday. The final score is not indicative of how close the actual matches were. I believe two of the three finished singles matches went into three sets, and of the three unfinished matches, two of them were in the third set as well. A great season nonetheless by both tennis teams. Not sure if there will be more tennis this year for the men's or women's teams, or if we will have to wait until the fall to cheer on the Tennis Dukes.

Season is definitely over for the Men. I expect it is over for the Women as well. Solid seasons for both. WTEN in particular is very young and has the makings of growing into a formidable rival of W&M for CAAT supremacy.
