RE: Best individual performances of 2017-18
I would have thought Oliver's Arizona or Navy performances would have gotten a mention at least.

Sep 9 19-16 W @ Arizona
11 Tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 FG block

Nov 24 24-14 W vs Navy
14 Tackles, 3.5 TFL, 2 sacks

The fact that Flowers won't get a fair shot to play QB in the NFL is proof that the so called experts aren't all that bright.

You know good and well that Flowers cannot throw well enough at the NFL level. Cut the shenanigans.

Unless he is given a shot how can any of us truly know what he can do ?

That said, I said he should get a "fair shot" at QB.

Hopefully a team like NE takes a flyer on him and develops him.

He has a good arm, a good deep ball (which is vital in today's NFL). He can make all of the throws (that 2 pointer across the grain against UCF proved that he has the velocity on his throws to make it work).

All very warranted...can't believe Mason Rudolph going 20-29 for 457 yards and 5 TDs in the first half against Pittsburgh wasn't at or near the top though.

Flowers is a good college quarterback. The reason that he is at USF is due to many recruited as an non-quarterback athlete. He is not an NFL quarterback.

You would think college coaches would recruit good college quarterbacks to be quarterbacks in college lol

You seriously believe that the NFL wouldn’t give a star college QB a fair shot? Flowers was a great college QB which doesn’t always translate to NFL success, but he will get an opportunity either through the draft or as an ufa to show what he can do. I wish him luck.

Yeah, he's definitely getting a long look in a training camp this year, there's no doubt about that.

What position does he get a look at? He's obviously an outstanding athlete, but at 6ft 215lb, I'm curious to see which position best suits him at the NFL level.

He may be a stanky Bull, but I hope he finds success at the next level.

There have been several great college quarterback's that were never given a chance to play QB and had to change position. Denard Robinson, Josh Cribbs, Terele Pryor, Nick Marshall, Scott Frost, etc... Just to name a few.

One thing that Flowers has going for him is that he actually has an above average arm. He can really throw the deep ball. He can get the ball 60+ yards down the field. He does have a big looping delivery, though.

Tremendous athlete. If moved to RB, I have a hard time believing there are 10 better college RB's out there. He rushed for 1,500 yards as a QB his junior year and averaged 8 yards per carry.

BJ Daniels (former USF QB) made NFL rosters as a QB, after being a 7th round project pick. Flowers is as good or better than Daniels. Someone will draft him in rounds 5-7.

Agreed 100%. He has a good arm. His height is what is scaring teams off, which is a shame since Drew Brees and Joe Montana were only a smidgen taller than Flowers is and they did more than ok.

Flowers and Miller for sure. Sometimes in a great while you play against athletes that are just on another level and no matter what you do it doesn’t stifle them.

I think a few WSU posters should be considered for best individual performances of 2017-18 for the thread where they just couldn't understand why they got smashed by Houston.
