2018 NBA Mock Draft/Big Board
New 2018 ESPN Mock Draft has 3 AAC players in the first round and 4 being drafted.
http://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/...oklyn-pick

Has Shake Milton going 24th overall.
Melvin Frazier flying up the board and going 29th Overall.
Landry Shamet going 30th Overall.
In the second round they have Jacob Evans going 38th Overall (to the Mavs would love that).

The Athletic also released its new Big Board with

18. Shake Milton
29. Landry Shamet
39. Jacob Evans
44. Jarrey Foster
48. Melvin Frazier
89. Gary Clark

Would be a tough loss for Tulane to lose Melvin Frazier and Cam Reynolds. Frazier was very impressive on both ends last game against SMU.

Evans might shoot up even higher once they do interviewers and see his combined results. Elite Athlete and a really smart dude.

IMO Gary Clark ends up in the league. He is Draymond Green Lite. Passes, Shoots, defends, and is an elite glue guy. Great NBA bench player

It's better to go not drafted than go in the 2nd round IMO. Gives you more options. (see Ron Baker and Fred Van Vleet, both declined 2nd round draft opportunities and ended up in really good positions.)

It goes both ways. Sterling Brown and Semi Ojeleye got looks over undrafted guys since they were drafted and it has worked well for them so far.

I 100% think Gary Clark ends up in the league. I also think Evans could shoot up draft boards at the end of the year. I really like Evans perfect 2/3 3 and D guy for the NBA.

I don't know what Gary's wingspan is, but 6'8 is too small for an NBA PF IMO. Some people say he's only 6'7. He would need extremely long arms and unreal leaping ability to make it in at 6'8. At 6'7 he's gonna have to be a guard.

I don't see Gary getting looks for the NBA, not legit ones for a draft anyway. Maybe he signs on after the fact and gets a shot. But I agree....6'9 or 6'10 is where he would need to be and he's just not. He is another in a long list of tremendous UC 'tweener' forwards.

There are people comping him to Kawhi Leonard...now that's ludicrous (much like people thinking Nigel Hayes was the next Draymond Green), but it has happened.

This to me says that Tacko may play his senior year?

I don't see McDuffie there either. And with Landry listed as a marginal first round projection, he stays too?

McDuffie has been extremely underwhelming so far. He's trying to do too much and forcing things.

Shamet is trending down .. relatively. He hasn't been aggressive and his shot has been off. Unless he moves higher up on the boards (not looking that way). I think he's back next year. Kind of a win win for us fans. If Landry shoots up the boards, it's because he's tearing it up on the court. If he doesn't ... he will be back for another year.
