Busch beer, Old Milwaukee, Texas Pride, Falstaff (went kaput), Pearl beer, etc. I would rather drink water than that stuff. I don't care if I was broke.

I was a bud light guy, then Coors light, and now I'm a Miller guy. That's my go to. If I'm out I may try a local beer or something different. But if I'm at the house or beach or buying more than a 6 pack, it's Miller Lite.

I agree, I'd rather have water. Or one good beer. One Goose Island Bourbon County Stout is like drinking at least 4 of those beers. I'd probably be accused of being elitist though - it's not exactly a beer you can chug.

On the original topic, what I don't like: BMW drivers. The most douchebag drivers out there.

I don't drink mass quantities of anything anymore, so when I drink, I want something that I enjoy.

Craft Beer
Good Bourbon/Whiskey
Good Rum
Good Wine

Don't give some watered down American mass produced crap.

What bourbon you liking these days? I'm a Knob Creek guy. I recently tried Buffalo Trace and liked it. Bought me my own bottle. That and some Islay Single Malt scotch.

Blanton's is excellent, if a tad pricey. Amador is a really interesting bourbon. Bulleit is my go-to for cocktails.

To keep it in the thread: Thread derailers! Those dudes really grind my gears!

BIL is a Glenlivet guy... FIL is a Laphroaig guy. However he turned me on to McClellands. They do an Islay that tastes like Laphroaig, and why not they're owned by the same folks. Half the price too. He said their Speyside is just like Glenlivet.

Back to OP: Thread killers.

I'll chime in.

Cause I'm Welch and Scot and whatever, but cheap.

And i hate lugging around "handles" to tailgates, parties, get togethers, whatever.

Give Benchmark by Buff Trace a swirl. It's a little younger in the barrel stage, but still pretty damn good. And doesnt set you back 65$ a 1.75.

I think I actually prefer the stuff, especially if I'm either giving it away, or just mixing it with schit to power up for a game.

Still warms the bones, and it ain' Old Crow.

Foodie.

Oh so the effin skill you are most proud of is the ability to taste. Congratu-effin-lations you can taste and you really believe that organic carrots taste any different than the carrots grown in the field across the road? Guess what, your tasting skill isn't nearly as refined as you thought. Cut a big salmon in half serve half of it as grilled salmon and the other half as oak fired, wild caught, North Atlantic salmon and the foodie will beg you to charge $5 more for that better half.

RE: What grinds your gears?
Add another one.

E-Mail people.

Coworkers that can't be bothered to have an ACTUAL conversation with anyone, they'd rather just endlessly forward e-mails to everyone even though their desk/office is LITERALLY 20 feet away. The result is.......

When you ask them about something or for clarification they look at you with a straight face and say "I sent you an e-mail". On that same token, if something is missed or was done wrong, they once again look at you and say "it was in the e-mail I sent you".

But hey, why take the time to communicate when you can cover your ass????

I used to work with someone that went on and on about flavor profiles and some other stuff. He'd turn up his nose at just about anything that us mere mortals would want to eat.

People who drag their sick kids through Wal Mart and Grocery Stores. Its one thing to pick up a prescription, its a whole other when you have your kid trailing you with a bucket in front of them to throw up in.

People who give absolutely NO thought to whether something sounding totally ridiculous is actually totally ridiculous...and then refusing to do a 1 minute google search...before running with it on social media.
