Woke up Monday morning with sharp pains in my left lung and it hurt to breathe. I was coughing up some mucus. My dumb ass figured it was my blood clots in my right lung were moving to my left lung and it will come to past. Like I said, I'm a dumb ass sometimes. Monday night was hard for sleeping. I woke up Tuesday morning and still had the bad pains and sometimes the mucus I coughed up had a little blood in it this time. The best way I found anyway to get some sleep was sitting up, it only helped a little bit if any at all. I woke up Wednesday morning with all the pain and hard to breathe. Told the wife I might need to go to the hospital. About an hour later I told the wife to call an ambulance so I could go to the ER.
I got to the ER and I was in a room in 15 minutes. They did all the test, blood, x-ray, CT scan etc;. They gave me some morphine for the pain and that did help. Come to find out I had pneumonia. I have to tell you, that never entered into my brain. I'm almost 70 years old and I keep telling myself, son you're not 25 anymore.
I'm feeling better now and I just wanted to share my story. I will probably have a Heart Attack when I get the Bill.
oh shite muh!!!!!!!!!!!

Quote:that's every year for me.....and I just had my throat scoped......
I reckon it's a good thing my BiL is an ENT.....
I cannot begin to tell you how poor my eating/drinking/smoking habits are.....
however, I had to crawl into the ER 3 yrs ago with double pneumonia......there's just some things you don't **** around with....and I literally crawled in.....
there's nothing better than getting stabbed twice when initially treated......................................then, they draw out (stab you) the juice from the inner portion 4 days later (when the antibiotics don't work).....that's a trip I don't want to ever revisit.....
go to the dadgum doctor........yesterday....
I like it when I can 'member in any attempt to help...
you nailed how it happened from start to puntureX2 ... there's some nasty arse shite they 'liquidate' into a plastic quad column device ... they'll almost let ya take it home ...
Good Luck, Man!
Damn Stink, I forgot about that Post. If you don't mind me asking. How long were you laid up? Like being able to go out and do some yard work.
5 days ... was told maybe 60 days if 'not' efficacy based on puncture results...
again, I was only 48 then ... and muh arse just said, "fk $20/day on ciggy butts!" (yeah, still n'er a none! for the last 70+ days now ... decade later they all say TY!)
I now have 3 three differing pains that I'm 'monitoring' ...
I was only posting as a reminder for those that choose to play fk about ... don't try to enter that level of nuts .... it's a real thingy!
Thanks Stink, I've been on my anti's for 3 days now. I have 4 more days to go on those. I feel better and it only hurts when I cough.
"weight" or the obvious cripplin' pain are your enemas .... that's the best I have from one the doc told im the 'flat', "I've done this more times with a local than imaginable ... did you feel anything? ... dog, stfu ... are we done, cheif!"
I'm just that mothertrucKKKer ... like you, I'm doing what I can to deal with the suffix .... #goodLuckMyFriend
