New Bowl Lineup for 2018?
Jim Senter the new AD of UTEP tweeted out this morning that CUSA is negotiating a new lineup for 2018. I wonder what type of new deal we will get.

Finally, we are going to get that bowl in Jakarta. I know MT fans were disappointed we actually had to play CONUS this past year.

An athletic director using social media to communicate to the fanbase, what an interesting concept.

We could re-brand it as the Blue Hair-Snowbird Bowl sponsored by Geritol.

Not sure how you re-negotiate a bowl lineup unless you're giving the other conferences something they want. It's possible we trade the MAC for the Camellia slot on a permanent basis so that the Eastern teams have another closer bowl tie-in.

I don't trust our leadership to do anything to improve our bowl situation, tv contracts, etc...

I believe the consensus in the Belt is we'd rather play CUSA in Camellia bowl than the MAC. The MAC Champ usually goes to Mobile anyway.

Obviously the Florida bowls are better destinations than Montgomery, but as far as convenience for fan travel and the day of the game (Saturday), giving up one of the 3 FL slots for a closer drive for several schools would be a solid trade IMO. I enjoyed Montgomery.

We’re still getting used to it ourselves. Thankfully we ended an era where neither our AD, football coach, or men’s basketball coach used social media. It’s interesting being able to follow all of our new coaches and keep updated on recruiting and their day to day activities. Hopefully we hire a basketball coach and staff that’s active on social media.

Heard C-USA will be in the inaugural Chernobyl Radiation Bowl....

At halftime, Putin turns out the lights and the place glows in school colors---Naturally, WITHOUT ANY PROPS OR SPECIAL EFFECTS!

The final score won't matter, anyway, because the loser will blame it on FAKE NEWS!!!04-cheers

Proshchay!
