Why do his arms look so short?

He's much like the powerful T-Rex. Maybe this will help:

Whatever lunatic

Nick Saban calls Ahlers trying to get him to flip

You: If Ahlers was from Charlotte he wouldn’t be hyped by the fan base.

And yet I’m the lunatic...

That is not at all what happened he called him and told him “to be by the phone”. He literally says this to a hundred kids a year. Alabama and Auburn offered Markell Boston very late when he was an ECU commit. He ended up going to Auburn and never cut it. Now he’s on the bench for UT Chattanooga.

Source? and your ass doesn’t count.

Lmao Minshew leaves ECU to attend Alabama

https://www.google.com/amp/s/247sports.c...009514/Amp

The fact he would leave ECU where he is a starter to be the fourth string at Alabama says everything about the state of the program

Tell me where in that article it says he has joined Alabama? Also last I checked Alabama is closer to his family than North Carolina. I know you have a hard time reading and understanding so I’ll answer for you. It doesn’t say it anywhere.

It says he’s being pursued by Alabama *******. What happened between the lines is obvious when using some critical thinking

Since you like to call me stupid pick any sort of intelligence test you wish and I guarantee you I will score higher than you. If I don’t, I will never post here again.

Okay and tell me why Alabama would sign another QB when they have a player who took them to the NCG and a freshman that took over at the half and won in? Sorry but this just seems like “Saban said he wanted 4 and here is a QB that is dealing with family issues near by so let’s start this rumor.” Been around soccer transfer rumors enough to not believe anything until it’s from an official source.

Well I’m no psychic but maybe

“Head coach Nick Saban said Alabama will “probably have a quarterback join us in some kind of way” after the Crimson Tide did not sign a signal caller on National Signing Day 2018.”

If you don’t take me up on my offer please do not resort to personal attacks any more.

I am only actually concerned about is there a real family issue and if not who lied about there being one.

As we said on the 247 board, a family issue could be a million things. A lie didn't have to be told.

That press release made it sound like that "family issue" was something serious. Someone is lying about all this, not sure who yet, but whoever is a scum bag. Minshew is going to be a graduate, so he didn't need to make up any excuse to leave he was well within his right to just tell Mo to pound sand. At the same time though I don't see why Mo would be stupid enough to release a statement like that if he knew he just left cause he didn't want to be at ECU anymore.

RE: Minshew Leaves ECU to Attend to Family Issues
It all seems logical to me... Minshew has family issue, leaves the Pirates, then surveys the landscape for playing opportunities closer to home.

Tuscaloosa is only a 2.5 hour drive from Brandon, MS.

This is my line of thought except for the fact Alabama doesn’t need another QB (wanting is a different story) and he wouldn’t get playing time there. There is the whole Saban’s ego might’ve got bruised when Ahlers said he was staying committed to ECU but no way he would sign and then start him out of pure spite when he knows it’s Championship or bust.

If I was Minshew and I truly left for family reasons I would look towards UAB, Southern Miss, or South Alabama. Close to home but more chance at playing.

Well, I don't know what the QB situation is at those schools, and he very well may be checking them out as well. He hasn't enrolled at Alabama yet, AFAIK.

He won't play at Alabama over what they have. Perhaps he wants to go someplace where he will get more exposure via connections to coaching staffs. Perhaps he just wants the experience of a football factory versus playing at a South Alabama. There are worse things than being a backup in Tuscaloosa.

RE: Minshew Leaves ECU to Attend to Family Issues
We're likely going to miss a bowl again next year with or without good QB play and he aint going to the NFL. So he can sit here and start on a terrible team, with an even worse coach, surrounded in turmoil all season and when 90% of ECU fans are already dubbing Holton Ahlers as the 2018 savior, or he can go sit the bench for one of the best coaches in college football history and get a front row set to the SEC West every weekend.

Not exactly a tough choice. As much as I love my school, we are a complete joke right now and I can't blame him.

IIRC from my quick searches USM has 2 RS SRs and 4 sophomores (not sure if any redshirted last season since it was a 2017 roster). South Alabama seemed set but I think he would be better than what they have. UAB had some older guys but they just restarted and again I think he would be better than what they have.
