RE: Drexel #2
From what I saw, Drexel is better than JMU, UNCW, Delaware, Elon, and an even match with the rest of the six. Winning late is good. I could see their roll continue

If I remember correctly, I think Drexel's coach is the one who came from Army a couple of years ago. Everyone here knows that Army is one of our brethren in the "forgotten four" but this coach came within one game of taking them to the tourney right before he left for Drexel.

In other words, Drexel has a good coach and is a program on the upswing (as long as he is there).

Correct. He had success at Army and I think the most wins there. As far as Army coaches his success was in line with K and Knight in a very difficult place to win. He has shown similar discipline coming from there as well. He plays a drastically different style but he is firm and holds players accountable. He isnt afraid to bench players for breaking rules and has done so. He is decently tight-lipped about it as well giving little to no information. His demeanor on the court is much different as well but he seems to gain the players respect.

Hopefully he has success here. It is not easy to win at Drexel. He was coming in behind a very successful coach (for Drexel) and has little ties to the area, but his pieces are starting to come together for his first full year of recruiting. Next year is really going to be the first insight as to how he is doing as he will be legitimately into his 2nd full recruiting year plus a late recruiting year. So if steps are not seen next year, there could be some mild concerns.

I find W&M to be a rather showy and arrogant team. I'm OK with him throwing it back in their face with a game ending dunk based on the way that they embarrassed Drexel at the DAC.

The scoreboard said everything that needed to be said.

But I do agree that some of their players remind me of the pop singer or movie star in the celebrity game on nba all star weekend who actually thinks he can play. I always have respect for tony shaver though. The names change but the system stays the same.

We such that system down for a change in the second half. Great defense.

Here are some posts from the Drexel board. I think some of you might be as amused by them as I am. Could be good "bulletin board" material, too.

He's not wrong. I find this year's team to be very "edgy". It's a very fine line to walk and I think our players do a great job most nights. But there are definitely times when I can see how opposing fans would get annoyed.

I get that. I love David Cohn, but he definitely has those Bobby Hurley/JJ Reddick like intangibles that every non-Duke fan dispises.

PS - I hate Duke

We missed old Bruiser storming up and down the sideline, often well on to the court, screaming at his players.

What a character!
