The 16-8 Tiggers come to town with a lot of bounce in their step. Skerry has his typical athletic squad, but it is atypical in that they don't have a few bangers who can rule the boards. While this team is good on the glass, they are not nearly as dominant as some of his past thug-nasty teams. They will play full contact, tackle basketball on defense and we can expect a boatload of fouls that aren't called because the refs get numb to the style of play.

The good news is that Towson has been crappy on the road this year and Saturday's game is setting up nicely for a Dukes upset special. At some point, they have to turn these home games into wins like everyone else does. The Tiggers have not lived up to their preseason forecast of #2 in the CAA, but they certainly have enough parts to finish there. Martin and Morsell are a nice one, two punch on offense. Even fat Eddie Keith can create problems.

Prediction - the Game is tied at 69 late when Skerry screams at the refs for the 99th time and blows a vein in his neck. Tech foul for a Vulgar outburst and Stuckey drains 2 freebies for the win. The 1000 fans in paid attendance are jubilant with victory and the 3000 unpaid Duke Dog reading day kids in attendance gaze quizzically asking mommy "What does F--- you F----- Mother------- mean?"

Not exactly sure quite yet about the details of the "how", though I am certain one of our ball boys or concessions workers will draw us a couple of technical fouls that leads to Towson's amazing 5 pt comeback win by 1 pt with less than 3 seconds left.

Yes and good catch of my Freudian slip. I'm a parent of a JMU freshman.
Another game prediction is that Ramone Snowden will continue his rapid ascent up the career assists list. He's an assists machine!

TOwson has a little dissension in its team. The defensive guru Morman left the team. As a transfer from Cincinnati I’m not sure if his feelings were hurt by reserve minutes or something else is going on.

Bad for TOwson, good for the Dukes today.

I just hope we aren't talking about how "close" this team is to turning things around again at the end of this one. Being competetive, athletic and close to being winners is just starting to sound like hopeful excuses. I expect JMU to be much improved next year. But this year is turning into a mess.

The Dukes came out like a ball of fire in the first 5 minutes leading 13-4 and then got out scored 31-16 the rest of the half. The scary thing is that Morsell is having a bad game and getting very frustrated with non-calls at the rim, yet the Tigers are still up by 6 at half. If he gets on track it won’t end well.
