Baseball 2018
We start a three game series against Clemson next week, so another big name program to start the season.

We bring back a lot of bats, but we will see a lot of new faces on the mound with Bodie Sheehan being our only experienced starter.

RE: Baseball 2018
Team has talent but it will take some time with the pitching staff and lots of new and little-used hurlers
to set up our strongest starting and relieving rotations. I don't expect a fast season beginning but our baseball program is solid with talented players filling the roster and I look for our guys to get it together before the half-season mark.

This team is in good hands. We’ll be fine.

That’s a loss considering he was probably the team’s most used reliever in conference play last year. He was listed as a senior (despite not playing in a game is first two years on campus) so I figured he didn’t have any eligibility left.

Baseball preview up on Tribe Athletics. I was surprised that last year’s starting SS Kyle Wrighte, who is listed on the current roster, was not mentioned anywhere in the preview, with the written preview even stating that the team had two holes in the middle infield to fill, not just Cullen Large’s former position of second base.

RE: Baseball 2018
One aspect of our home uniforms the past two seasons and in this photo that needs to change: it's virtually impossible to read the name "Tribe" on the unis, not only in a photo but at games, as it's a weak white on a gold background. Let's go back to the much stronger "W&M" or "William & Mary" in green so people knpow who we are.

Also glad to see at least five of the guys opt for the traditional long stockings and not the awful pajama pants look that is unfortunately in vogue. Everyone on the team does wear the long stockings on Sunday home games...at least they have in recent seasons.

Theyve used these before. Nick Raquet:

I do agree though, that these 80s throwback styles arent that great. The real problem is that true WM Gold used here (as well as Gold Rush Jerseys in BBall) just doesnt look that great as a primary color without more bold accents. I think you need bold green stripes or something to balance the relatively bland natural gold.

Easily the worst thing about it. I thought the athletic department had moved away from the "W&M" because it looked so terrible.

I'm far more concerned with performance. I don't care what they wear so long as they win.

Well deserved (although I admit that I don't know the statistics of any other candidate) -- but it also serves to open up the fresh and not-yet-healed wound that Bodie's efforts did not result in a Tribe win. We need some wins to help forget that game. Today would be a great place to start.

Same starters as opening day except Luca Farina is in left instead of Brandon Raquet. Chris Farrell on the mound.
