When you're a powerhouse again, I'd be more than happy to get hammered by you down in Memphis if we could return the favor in Wichita. In a truly powerful conference (which this one has the potential to be), you should expect to lose on the road to the top 4 or 5 teams.

For the first 15 or so minutes of the game, yes. Clear effort and intensity and minimal turnovers.

Second half was eerily similar to Temple. Lots of settling 3's, lots of low IQ plays, sloppy TO's, and Memphis was eating it up down low.

Then Memphis crapped out.

Started out playing angry but took way too many threes, everyone was shooting and missing except for Shamet and Reaves. Both these guys played great, plus Willis once he stopped jacking up threes and started playing underneath. We tried to let them back in it when they cut it to 5 but something clicked and we poured on the gas toward the end.

Thanks. Regardless of the W or the L, I'm looking for the urgency that borders on desperation which is the hallmark of a Shocker team. When the Shockers don't Play Angry, it really scares the crap out of me. We look less than mortal... mid-major even...
