Marshall takes non-qualifiers...so when a 3 star has no place to go, he heads to W. Virginia. Now, I know this is the same excuse OP and MSUcks gives, but the truth of the matter is WE DON'T TAKE PARTIALS AND HALF OF C-USA DOES (or we wouldn't be waiting on Mr Johnson.)

Nothing I said in this post is meant as a knock on Monk. He did great here. But he came into a terrible situation and did his best. It was tough to recruit at the time. Now with the locker room done and a few winning seasons again, Hop is having a much easier time on the recruiting trail.

Could’ve just been a “love the one you’re with” situation, but at the public events, Monken harped on how he wanted intelligent, coachable guys who loved the game more than he wanted raw athletes.

Hopson talks a lot about character himself and tosses around the phrase “a Southern Miss guy” in describing recruits, but he talks just as much if not more about said “Southern Miss guys’” bench presses and speed.

I'd still say by Southern Miss standards we did pretty well. We have 15 Three-Star players, more than most of the teams ranked just ahead of us.

So what ever happened to the Isaiah Johnson kid? Did he sign?

Waiting to see how grades turn out after spring semester.

He signed but the school didn’t announce it. 99% of the time that means they are waiting on his grades before they count him. Because once they announce he counts against us, which would keep them from signing another player if he doesn’t make his grades.
