I know it is highschools, but how does one accumulate such numbers in one season???

They include playoff games. He had a total of 15 games. He averaged 12.5 ypc and 240.2 ypg.

So, he averaged north of 4 TDs a game? That's a definite wow!

Just waiting on Winston Dimel to announce if he will transfer to UTEP, Wisconsin, or Texas A&M. Once it all said and done our class might be good enough to leave last place.

Why was his only offer ODU? His size isn’t bad for a RB

He had offers from Liberty and JMU. But he didnt really explode statistically until his senior year.

RE: National Signing Day 2018
We all know that until these young players hit the field its hard to say which team has the top class. But one thing is for sure, CUSA is on the way up looking at the raw talent being brought in especially the upper level teams (La Tech, FIU, FAU, Southern miss, WKU, Marshall, NT, UTSA and UAB) Marshall is closing with a fury and FIU has made a move that is shocking many in the football world and letting FAU know they are not the only team in FL on the upswing. La Tech has one of its best classes in quiet some time and UTSA is doing what Frank Wilson was hired to do bringing in another very talented class. This year is going to be fun watching to see which one of these classes shakes out to be the best.

10 teams are in the upper level? That's quite a level.

I expect WKU and UTSA to jump up a little since both teams have a player which was raised to 4 star status which has not been adjusted yet

Rice ends up signing 16 today plus the 1 graduate transfer. So that's 23 new Owls counting the 6 who signed in December. Sounds like a good class but I bet you the 2 and 3 star guys are 3 and maybe even 4 star guys next year with this new coaching staff.

I believe the Western player was rated a 4 star by 247, not the other 2 and 247's Composite has been adjusted. Kevaris Thomas rating is .8667 today on 247 and I believe it was in the high .84 last week. But even if I'm wrong (dont think I am) going up to a .9000 is not going to affect a 23 man class by much....

.8133 to .8147 as far as average player ranking.

Western's class includes 3 players that did not sign with Western
Terez Traynor .8466
Troy Ingle .8339
Roderic Forts .8014

When you remove those 3 from Western's class the over all ranking of 154.77 drops to 148.56 and Western's class drops to 6th in CUSA. Every class above Western and the 2 below that jumps Western has NO unsigned included in their ranking

As good as this class looks, it seems like its below our normal. We will probably drop into the 90’s in team ranks which is bottom 25%

I know Kenneth Dixon had like 3,100 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns as a senior in high school. Their offense was like. They direct snapped to him and he ran it almost every play...and they won the state championship.

Wow is right, check out this quote;

Quote:The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder averaged 12.5 yards per carry, said Heritage coach Brad Bradley. He rushed for 401 yards in a Class 3 state semifinal game.

"He only played in the second half of seven games," Bradley said. "If we had really wanted to pad his stats, he could have had over 4,000 yards."

Crazy.

I saw you asked the 247 guy a question about the number of 3 stars players in this class

I just checked and there's a total of 1948 three star recruits on 247 https://247sports.com/Season/2018-Footba...Highschool

376 ranked 4 to 5 star

I will check 2017 and 2016 later tonight because I have a feeling more and more kids are getting rated. But who see these kids play? 1948 kids is a lot to rate and thats just 3 stars
