Does not mean we can run moderately tough outdoor morning conditioning under supervision

Absolutely. They need to practice the way they will play. That means heat and humidity through at least week 6 of the season.

The coaching staff is probably very conscious of the weather conditions during practices.

I'll admit, I should have never called it reckless, questionable may be the appropriate word. Thankfully ODU hasn't suffered a loss in the program.

It was my opinion he pushed it a little too far that day and that was my only concern.

Moving forward, I think he'll get the Monarchs in better shape that in previous years.

What everyone saw was a 3-5 minute clip of a full workout. Guarantee there was plenty of water breaks. Doubtful that anyone was at risk of dying from heat stroke

At the end of the day the sports medicine staff are the ones who set the perimeters (ie how long they can be out for) for outdoor workouts and coaches follow them.

Correct.

I allowed my wife to run 18 miles in the heat yesterday. Clearly, it was only because I was looking to cash in a life insurance policy.

/sarcasm

This whole debate is dumb. I guarantee the staff was doing everything they could to monitor the players and their safety. Could something potentially have happened? Sure. But something tragic could potentially happen every day. We can't stop living because of it.

Yes im sure it has to do with your post and not the fact that the heat index was 100 plus. Dont forget the fact that it wasnt that hot when they were running around campus and it was in the morning so it was even cooler. Yes it was you and your constant post about the hazards of heat and not the trained professionals in charge.

RE: Strength and conditioning.
Not taking credit at all, just hoping no risks were taken.

The temp between 6AM and 12PM the day that video was posted was a high of 88 degrees and a low of 83. Not quite so cool was it. The humidity would have put the index at 100.

If you want to know the temp between 12AM and 6AM, it was 83 dgrees for a high and 79 for the low. A pretty hot night.
