We can only hope that change is on the way. It's pretty reasonable to assume that Tubby gets next season.

Its also pretty reasonable (barring another mass exodus of players) to assume that next year's team will improve maybe even enough to get to the NIT. This would probably lead to a 4th year for Tubby.

The scary part, based on recruiting, is that Tubby's 4th year is shaping up to be freshmen and/or another scramble for JUCOs.

In most years we should be the best basketball team in Tennessee. We should rarely, if ever, fall behind the likes of ETSU, Belmont, and Lipscomb. Tubby is the primary reason we are in our current dire condition and there is little good reason to expect better in the future.

The last I checked Pastner is not our coach. He was rightly pushed out for underperformance. Tubby was suppose to make things better, but he has accerated the downtown. We are actually worse now in Tubby’s second year than Pastner was at anytime in his tenure and by Pastner’s second year we were in the NCAA Tourney. We managed to hire someone performing worse than Pastner

Correct, Essentially two years in and no sign of a turnaround. If we were trending up I could see people still assigning blame to Josh, but right now we are not.

We were 6-20 in Moe Iba’s last year, but he at least he recruited legends Larry Finch and Ronnie Robinson. Tubby will leave no such legacy.

I plan to trek to Lipscomb tonight (ahead or close to us by metics) to watch them play UNF. The Bisons (yes, the “s” is the way they spell it) are headed by a coach playing a fun style.

According to KenPom predictor, the Tigers would lose to Lipscomb by 3 points. I’ve seen the Tigers and the Bisons play and it does not surprise me.
