Samford game broadcast?
As I will be unable to make it to Orlando, is there any broadcast online of the game vs Samford? (other than just the stats)

According to riceowls.com Friday's and Sunday's game will be broadcast. Saturday we can watch on our computer from UCF's broadcast.

No Walt preview yet?

Looks like we're going up against Samford's top returning starter today in Cody Shelton (5-3, 2.69 ERA in 2017). UCF is throwing a lefty against us in Joe Sheridan (10-4, 2.25 in 2017). And Virginia is going with a big righty in Evan Sperling (3-3, 7.51 ERA in 2017).

Tyner is on the roster in the Rice game notes. The TCU transfer isn't on the trip.

Walt said he would be traveling, so no preview.

Since we don't have Walt's preview, suggest you check out Off Speed: Baseball, Pitching and the Art of Deception. About 1/2 way through, nice way to start the season, very well written.

I thought the TCU xfer was not eligible this year?

Side note on the xfer player: he tripled during a spring game I attended. I was sitting next to Mssr Tower behind the dugout and heard someone on the bench say (paraphrasing here) ... "We have to find a loophole so he can play"

Do we know if the OG has an innings or pitch limit for Ricky? I understand that he has tweeted out how good he feels, but you have to think there is some sort of limit considering he is less than a year removed from TJ.

I heard he will either be going 3 innings or 50 pitch limit. Then Jefferies will come in from the pen.

Hot dawg... I made it to the game. First time in > 2 decades to see the Owls play.

A lot of construction here, so only the 1B side lower deck is open.

The construction noise really rounds out the atmosphere on the radio broadcast!

Ouch. Salinas gives up a 2 out solo shot.
