GP didn't seem so positive on Penny on the show today. I'm talking about GP's interview with Dana O'Neil on 2/13/2018 at 5pm. Entercom wants a dude who will appear weekly on the radio. They seem to think Penny isn't that dude.

He didn't call Dana O'Neil back.

Seems familiar to anybody?

He’s been on Team Penny since Pastner was still here.

He’s been on Team Penny since Pastner was still here.

You didn't listen today. I'll edit my post to make that clear I'm talking about GP's interview with Dana O'Neil on 2/13/2018 at 5pm. He thinks there's plenty of other coaches who would be a better fit at Memphis.

Everyone likes Penny, but plenty of people have came out against hiring him before.

Don't think it won't happen again. They will attack his experience. Say he's not ready for the commitment of college coaching.

I'm a Penny guy. Understand that there's plenty of people who aren't.

I turned it on today cause the Penny stuff. I haven't listen to much 92.9 in the past year.

I'll tune in during big events.

And they would be right.

Penny was a great player and does a lot for the university. But not as head coach with zero college coaching experience.

Parrish has said that if Penny comes he brings a number of elite recruits with him. I've never heard where he has backed off of that. I did him some this morning . He seemed to be a big fan of Forbes.

He and Forbes are tight. He was tight with Everyone on Pearls UT staff. Said the show cause on Forbes really wasn’t Forbes fault. That Forbes was doing what he was told by Pearl. I think Forbes would kill it here

I think everyone loves Penny, but not sure anyone that actually played athletics or really knows sports,think he should be the coach. Great armchair banter though!

Parrish says whatever goes against the grain and drives listener ship trends. He will tell you one thing today and oppose it tomorrow.

Easterwood was on earlier and thought Penny would be a mistake just because he doesn't know if he would put in the work involved.
