Most skinny bundles do offer ESPN3. Not even an upcharge on Sling TV Orange, for example, while certain things like the SECN are $5 more.
The carriage fee for internet providers a few years ago was five cents per subscriber per month. I saw it stated someplace that it was a dime now but haven't been able to find a link.

??? The majority of streaming options include ESPN, and Disney is getting upwards of $6.50/mo carraige fees on those, not a whole lot less than cable carraige.

Not talking about cable. Talking about internet providers offering ESPN3. Before Direct added online options I got ESPN3 from ATT as a part of my internet service. No ESPN games, no ESPN2 games, no ESPNU games. Just ESPN3.
ISPs pay a carriage fee to offer ESPN3 and since it doesn't include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, it is not $6.50.

No, ESPN was getting its full carriage fee from you in your ISP bill even if you didn't have cable.
"Some internet service providers have complained to the FCC that ESPN3 (along with other services that use the TV Everywhere system) violates the principles of network neutrality. ESPN3 bundles its content into the fees of the participating ISP, regardless of whether or not users partake in accessing its content. If a particular ISP does not pay subscription fees to ESPN, users of that ISP are not granted access to ESPN3. "

RE: MLS service being replaced by ESPN+
It just gives me the creeps to see corporations like ESPN get this big and monopolistic .... and I'm a dang free market libertarian. Them eating all the Fox RSNs has really given me the willies and they're still hard on the gas.
You know maybe I should take another look at Teddy Roosevelt's policies in some specific areas.
On the plus side ... if this money train is going all the way to the station GT will be cashing in on the ride too.

That's for sling
Sling includes traditional ESPN which would get $6.50 $7
If you subscribe to just Internet you are not paying ESPN anywhere close to that amount

That doesn't say what you think it says.
No one would be stupid enough to charge their customers $6.50 to get only ESPN3 content.
