More than a billion people on Facebook and we can only muster 1.8k viewers in a real good game starring CUSA's #1 team vs a middle of the pack team. That number is depressing.

Honestly.....

who wants to see S. Miss play? And while Middle is the best in CUSA, no one outside of a CUSA fan is caring about Middle playing S. Miss. Most of CUSA is watching THEIR team play.

Based on attendance for that game ....S. Miss fans don't care either. If they did they had 2 choices to view it and it Seems like they chose..neither. Depressing, right?

If you can't get over 1,800 of your own fans to view the game. What makes you think the billion on facebook cares?

I still don't understand it. I never saw it get up more than 2.4k i think. That is when thst counter was working.

Only thing I can think of is page refreshes or something. Either that or Russia. Probably them.

Russian views are the BEST views, the very best. They are really, really good views, believe me.

One other option ....

The counter is not correct. Based on tonights 1800 vs 400,000 each person would have to refresh 222 times

Because it's TERRIBLE. Should I be praising it?

The point of this thread was not to question why no one cares about USM basketball. We all know why and it's no secret. My point is that I assumed MTSU and their clout they've garnered over the past few years coupled with the notion that streaming is supposedly where it's at nowadays...I kinda thought there would be a large viewing audience. I was wrong. I'm willing to bet it was 50/50 USM and MTSU fans making up that 1.8k figure mostly. That means only 900-ish MTSU fans were logged on. We keep hearing how internet streaming is the future but literally no one is watching online. It's depressing. And it doesn't reflect well at all when the conference tries negotiating a new tv deal soon. That's all.

Could you also see the game from WatchStadium.com ?

Does Facebook count the FireStick, etc, App users the same as those on computers and phones ?

Was the game on the actual Stadium Channel ?

I was at the MT vs. Western women's game. Good crowd there.

No your point was to complain as you do every time a OVC or MAC or many other conference are on TV.

Well your answer should be obvious there's not a big following of CUSA basketball. There was at least 5 top 20 games going on during the Middle, S. Miss game. If people wanted to watch basketball.....

they had better options

As for the 1,800 maybe it's not correct who knows...someone said there were 2200 when Facebook said they had 400,000 views on another game.

But lets say the total is correct and that 2,000 fans showed up to watch that game in person. The 3,800 total should answer the damn question you ask every damn time some other conference has a game on TV.

And it should answer your question about why CUSA doesn't have a better TV deal. Hell if the top team in the conference and S. Miss can't combine for more than 3800 in person and Internet views...

If you still have questions about WHY WHY WHY. Ask your AD because the weekly or bi-weekly threads are not going to get you those answers. But this is a free board and you have that right to ask any question you want....

driving me crazy with them, is my problem, when all I have to do is not click...especially when I know whats in it. So sometimes I come off as the ass. When i really shouldn't have even clicked the view post button

That is the problem right there. USM is the best brand in CUSA yet you expect MTSU fans to do the heavy lifting while you ride their coattail.
