So when will this all be played out? Before or after the tournament?

Which programs will be affected? Per the article 16 of the top seeds in this years tourney could be affected..

lol @ anyone who thinks programs are actually going to suffer from this

A few “rogue” assistants are gonna be thrown in prison and business will continue as normal.

Yep. It'll all be swept under the rug like the big hypocritical POS the NCAA is.

If Gonzaga is involved they will get the death penalty. If UNC or Kentucky are involved they will be bumped up to a 1 seed.

It has already lead to the firing of a hall of fame head coach and one of the top AD's in the country.

Who? Louisville? Or am I missing someone else? If Pitino was only paying players he’d still be coaching.

The thing is, the NCAA isn't running the show-the FBI is. If the FBI is serious, the NCAA won't have any choice but to comply lest their own corruption gets exposed. They sweep a lot under the rug. My guess the FBI will say "you can cooperate and do as we say, or you can go down with all of the programs you've been enabling". The NCAA will comply.

RE: Part 2: Trouble on the horizon for top basketball programs..
As witnesses paint a picture of the depths of corruption in the basketball underworld, the feds need to make a decision whether they want to expose other sneaker companies, agents and coaches. So far, there’s been no indication that they’re prepared to do that. The basketball underworld is sophisticated and nuanced, a black market forged over decades of moving players. Even with all the wiretaps and documents, the feds are still catching up on how it all worked. “The craziest part of it all is that they could have walked into one of 15 agent’s offices and it’s just as bad,” said a source with direct knowledge of the situation. “It just would have been other people and other schools.”

He was a hall of fame coach because he cheated the hardest. That idiot AD at University 6 pushed for cheating in all sports programs. There is a reason they landed some of the best football players in South Florida and nothing to do with wanting to live in KY.

$1,000 is like $100,000 in Wichita, right? Is my conversion correct?

This is just another in the exceedingly long list of reasons why the NCAA and NBA need to adopt MLB draft regulations. The one-and-done model causes quite a bit of this, since most of these kids are getting paid in AAU, then told "NOPE, CAN'T DO IT!" for a year by the NCAA.

Pretty much assume any top 150 player is getting paid. Maybe even hookers and blow like at University 6.

That's a joke. Standard procedure customized for the universities mentioned proceeds as follows...

-Drag it out about 3 years, giving time for most people to forget about it, and for news outlets and fans of the schools to plant all sorts of alternative facts and alternate opinions on just what "student was given a $43k loan" really means.
-Conduct a hearing with a Devry drop-out representing the NCAA, vs. lawyers for UNC/NCSU/Duke (that went to Stanford lol).
-Come to the conclusion that: While yes, students were given loans, cars, and ladies, and yes, those favors directly resulted in these schools getting the best recruits and winning multiple titles, the email containing "Yes, pay the kid his money, we need to win championships. Love, Coach Williams" is ambiguous as to whether the coach actually knew anything about the illegal gifts.
-Each school loses a half-scholarship.....in 2047.
-Punishments are ultimately dropped for two of the three universities after subsequent lawsuits against the NCAA.

Go ahead and bookmark this.

It has made some AAU coaches rich.
