Any win is good, Tulane had beaten Houston by 8 earlier in the year

What kind of heated discussion...and/or who participated?
Tubby
Parks,Davenport,Martin
Memphis had run the same play several times where they did the weave around the 3 point line, then the ball went back to Martin and then park came out to set a pick
Park was upset that he could not do it all, he wanted help
Martin saved our ass several times because the shot clock would be down to 5 second and he had to drive the basket pass several defenders to make a shot
I saw him miraculously wind his way through the middle of 4 and score.
Crazy Good.
Finally the announcer began to brag on Martin--how he couldn't be stopped, how he Memphis had to give him the ball.
O yea...so, what did Tubby finally tell them to do?
He drew up a play on the whiteboard and sent them back in

Why Tulane continued to allow Martin to get to his left hand on the drive is laughable.

Tulane looked lost.

Very few teams have stopped him... maybe he’s just a really good player?

Only problem is, when you start out 9th, +3 is still nothing to write home about.
I’ve heard predicted finish on this forum more than I ever have in my life. Who gives a s***? You do realize the coaches and media spend about 30 seconds thinking about that before the equipment manager submits the ballot?
Well, I'd ask you what you predicted, but since you didn't exist then . . .
That’s one hell of an assumption to draw from my join date. D*** boy!

He is a good player...But you have to take something away and it has been proven that Martin doesn't score nearly as well going right as he does going left...So you force him right.

Tiger fans have created such a toxic atmosphere right now that recruiting will be nearly impossible, so i think all of you will get what you want. Why would anyone want to play for the tiger fanbase right now?
Imho, and i've said this a lot. Put the blame on those making decisions for tiger basketball, because they have made some horrible ones like letting pastner remain the coach when the lawsons were coming in. A new coach should have come in too, but our leaders were too busy getting played by the big 12 conference.
And that's the bottom line. Why do you think we took the Lawsons to begin with? Does anyone still think Josh made that deal? That was the PTB trying to cover the previous screw up they made by handing Josh that ridiculous contract. People on HERE warned that it was likely to explode in their faces. You KNOW many of their peers must have. And guess what? It did.
Then the Big XII sure thing and the coach to let 'em know we belonged. I only have one wild guess to answer the obvious question, "How can the same people make such good decisions in one sport and such poor ones in another?" And that is to borrow another off the wall comment made here -- there are two sets of boosters. LOL I guess it may be true. How else can you make sense of it?
Believe me, I understand people being upset at the state of the program. It's the worst it's been in ages and ages. I was hoping Tubby could come in, put the adults in charge again, bring some experience and common sense to the situation, and right the ship -- then sail into the sunset with sole possession of "coach who took the most teams dancing" title. So far, that's not looking too promising. But, what am I going to do? Not cheer for my team?
I'm as powerless as the next guy, so I just have to enjoy what there is to enjoy about this season and the current set of circumstances. That would include today's win and the long shot hope that some eligible, program changing players might be on the market looking for a squeaky clean program to join when their initial plans run into legal trouble (of the federal kind) in the next few months. Hey Feds. Drop the Russians. Get on with the blue bloods.
