Quote:Jarron Cumberland: Cumberland is the closest thing the Bearcats have had to a villain in years. He was stellar at times during his freshman year, but has struggled a bit thus far as a sophomore. He's kinda mysterious but isn't afraid to run right through you on the court and then talk some trash. He seems to float between being loved by the fan base to being the target of frustration. He's Clifton's Batman. Talented, strong, and seemingly tortured,...
Quote:“He’s a great player,” Caupain said of Cumberland. “I know he took this one personal, just like (UC senior guard Kevin Johnson, Summit Country Day) took this one personal, being from Cincinnati. That’s the first time I ever heard him talk trash, so I knew that he was feeling some type of way, had a lot of confidence.”

Words spoken by fans about Marshall’s daughter were deemed too inappropriate to be posted on ShockerNet by the mods. Apparently the police were notified.
Interesting. Why was Cumberland being involved then? I saw the Marshalls say something to him after the handshake line and was trying to figure why in the world they were talking.
What kind of a man is this Cumberland? Any history of "mixing it up" or discipline issues in his past? Mrs. Marshall would NEVER approach a player unless something extremely ****** up happened. I've never heard of her doing it before.
It's one thing to scream at the refs from the stands like a madwoman, it's quite another to walk straight up to a player that you just beat and confront him in the handshake line.

I don't know either of them personally, but I'll take Jarron's reputation over the fairer Marshall at this juncture. After that display we have seen from her at other games, I'm not really sure I need much more evidence.

I thought of another idea... considering we know the police were alerted due to threatening behavior towards the Marshall's... perhaps some of the people causing them trouble were friends of Mr. Cumberland and came to the game on his guest tickets. Somehow the Marshall's found out the two parties were connected. Just spitballing here.

Dropping the f-bombs on Pitino is one thing. Doing it to a 20 year old seemingly innocent female?
Eh.
Give the Appalachians a break. They can smell a pure bloodline from miles away. They were probably hornier than a lesbian in a hardware store. Maybe chastity belts are a prerequisite when we head on out to the foothills of the Appalachians again?
Maybe the Marshalls picking one up for the family dog might not be a bad idea either...

Cincinnati is far from the pinnacle of modern civilization, but I don't think I'd start that discussion being a fan from Wichita whose mascot looks like he is trying to pass a kidney stone.
Reading more into about the issues that people with issues like this face, I feel bad. This is a potentially serious issue that has disastrous consequences.

Marshall family lifetime banishment from Cincinnati venues?

Not sure who your source on shockernet is, but you might want to go back and have him check again. I talked to my friend about it who was on the floor on Sunday, and it sounds like Greg's daughter was cursing at the UC players pretty aggressively. Apparently she is not welcome at any UC hosted games again from what they said.
I was told Marshall's wife was actually yelling at one of the national media people after the game, not Cumberland. Not sure what that was about but it appears unrelated to the other incident during the game.

So the majority of this topic is about the Marshalls verbally attacking a player which is ending up being retracted. Lynn was reported to be booted out of the WSU/UK game which ended up being retracted. I am sure Lynn has crossed the line multiple times but the slanderous accusations are getting to be a bit much.
I was not at the game so I don’t know the truth. I can only take what I hear from both sides, of which each probably has a healthy dose of bias tied into their interpretation of events.

No doubt screaming, "Fake News!" at the top of her lungs...
Endless booing, objects thrown on to the floor, reports of various cursing from UC fans during the game....
but
but
but
the Marshalls are the bad guys.
Look, I don't know what happened either, but to say that one side is guilty and the other side is completely innocent and vice versa just shows clear bias in the argument.
Apparently the conference saw it differently. Like I said, I've been told that WSU has been reprimanded over the behavior of both the wife and daughter, but other than that I don't know what the punishment was.
