TV Teddy has loved making his presence known in Cincinnati games for years. Him vs. Mick is one of the underlying story lines every time he officiates a game ever since he stepped to Mick at UConn about 5 years ago.

Marshall had a real problem with referees during his first few years with us. He wanted to kill them all. He got tossed out of several games one year. He really grew as a coach at WSU with respect to how he deals with them. He still complains, but I think he uses different language.

So... I'll keep this here so to not create a war. Not sure if this has been brought up elsewhere but UC reported Marshall's wife to the conference for coming on the floor during the handshakes and talking smack to Cumberland. He turned around and went to the AD rather than engage with her, and the AD promptly reported her to the conference. Based on her history it seems like leaving her at home may be smart in the future.

Oops... Forgot to mention his daughter too. Both were reported.

Sounds like Cumberland is a real PRACK! Mrs. Marshall is known to have a very soft-spoken demeanor. She must have had a good reason for her actions.

Don't worry about creating a war, the Marshall family are gods in Wichita and could take a massive dump on the courthouse steps and we'd call it landscaping.

In all seriousness, I doubt that "Cincy's side" is blameless. I think Reeves was getting into a minor dustup with one of the Boocat players. I wouldn't be surprised if something racially inflammatory was said to him. He is really, really white after all and with the way he was showing up all the "elite UC athletes", it was bound to set somebody off...

I made my post before reading yours. That makes sense. As the games move further to the east, you've got to expect this. Class and the east coast are inversely related. Ohio is a very tough place and there are some tough characters that live in those parts. Some really backwards inbreds the further up in elevation you go too. If Gregg would have heard about that when it happened, he would have walked directly into the stands and started fighting. That boy does... not... play.

Interesting. Why was Cumberland being involved then? I saw the Marshalls say something to him after the handshake line and was trying to figure why in the world they were talking.

What kind of a man is this Cumberland? Any history of "mixing it up" or discipline issues in his past? Mrs. Marshall would NEVER approach a player unless something extremely ****** up happened. I've never heard of her doing it before.

It's one thing to scream at the refs from the stands like a madwoman, it's quite another to walk straight up to a player that you just beat and confront him in the handshake line.
