need to get students involved Thursday
JMU needs to have some kind of incentive to get the students to pack the Convo Thursday night. Give away something in the last few minutes of the game. Must be present to win! Sign up when you come in the door. That way they have to come for the whole game. We need the convo to be the electric zoo again!

RE: need to get students involved Thursday
Another thing...

...while I tend to agree with most of the commentary of late on this board regarding Joey and Ramone may be better suited coming off the bench considering how these freshmen + Mosley/Phillips are performing, they will get the start on Senior Night* Thursday. I know their careers haven't gone as well as they'd hoped in terms of wins and losses, but they are still Dukes and have given their all for the program when they could have chosen elsewhere.

Joey, in particular, has experienced the transition of coaching staffs as well as the influx of some strong talent Rowe has brought in. He's done this with class, no moping or complaining, and I know Coach Rowe appreciates everything Joey has done in these early (tough) years in his time as HC at JMU - including taking on a backup role this season.

I'll be in there rooting for all of them like normal, but especially for those 2 guys. I'm glad with recent improvements in the win-column that this game means something and they, in particular, may get to experience some exciting moments here at their JMU career ends. Joey tends to be quiet on the court, but many times this season I have seen Ramone directing guys on the court. I think these freshmen will look back one day and appreciate Ramone's leadership that they will eventually take on to younger guys.

*note, I know Cameron Smith technically will be recognized as well, but have left him out in my reply above for what should be obvious reasons

Joey (and) Ramone...let's have the Pep Band play nothing but Ramone's music all game long, starting with "Beat the Brat with a Baseball Bat"
