Nunes will soon have the Magic Man in a corner
Quote:House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes has sent a series of questions about the Trump dossier to a number of current and former government officials. The committee did not specify to whom Nunes sent the questions, but a spokesman said the letter has gone to more than 20 recipients.

The letter asks for answers by March 2. "If you do not provide timely answers on a voluntary basis, the committee will initiate compulsory process," the letter says, in a clear threat to subpoena any uncooperative recipients.

Here is the list of questions:

1. When and how did you first become aware of any of the information contained in the Steele dossier?

2. In what form(s) was the information in the Steele dossier presented to you? By whom? (Please describe each instance)

3. Who did you share this information with? When? In what form? (Please describe each instance)

4. What officials actions did you take as a result of receiving the information contained in the Steele dossier?

5. Did you convene any meetings with the intelligence community and/or law enforcement communities as a result of the information contained in the Steele dossier?

6. When did you first learn or come to believe that the Steele dossier was funded by a Democrat-aligned entity?

7. When did you first learn or come to believe that the Steele dossier was funded by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and/or Hillary for America (Clinton campaign)?

8. When did you first become aware that the Steele dossier was used to obtain a FISA order on Carter Page?

9. Was President Obama briefed on any information contained in the dossier prior to January 5, 2017?

10. Did you discuss the information contained in the Steele dossier with any reporters or other representatives of the media? If so, who and when?

I've heard that if you question a group of people under oath about their knowledge of a common topic, you'll eventually be able to prove someone in the group lied. Might even be able to prove Obstruction of Justice. That's what I hear anyway.

The dems dun goofed. If you're going to take a shot like they did, you better make sure it lands. Now it's our turn to dissect all the bullsh*t you conjured up over the past 2-3 years.

Godspeed, Rep. Nunes.

RE: Nunes will soon have the Magic Man in a corner
And here's how the shyte works.

I see a name in the linked story I'd not seen before, Victoria Nuland, so I look it up.

I find this:

Quote:"He [Steele] passed two to four pages of short points of what he was finding, and our immediate reaction to that was, 'This is not in our purview,'" said Nuland, who served as assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs during the Obama administration. "'This needs to go to the FBI, if there is any concern here that one candidate or the election as a whole might be influenced by the Russian federation. That's something for the FBI to investigate.

She added, "our reaction when we saw this [was,] it's not our -- we can't evaluate this. And frankly, if every member of the campaign who the Russians tried to approach and tried to influence had gone to the FBI as well in real time, we might not be in the mess we're in today."
'"

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/victoria-nu...e-dossier/

Okay, fair enough. Nuland says such info should go to the FBI.....they couldn't evaluate it.

Then I see another article, this one by Jonathon Winer. Here's what he had to say about Nuland:

Quote:Over the years, Steele and I had discussed many matters relating to Russia. He asked me whether the State Department would like copies of new information as he developed it. I contacted Victoria Nuland, a career diplomat who was then assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, and shared with her several of Steele’s reports. She told me they were useful and asked me to continue to send them. Over the next two years, I shared more than 100 of Steele’s reports with the Russia experts at the State Department, who continued to find them useful.

In September 2016, Steele and I met in Washington and discussed the information now known as the “dossier.” Steele’s sources suggested that the Kremlin not only had been behind the hacking of the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign but also had compromised Trump and developed ties with his associates and campaign.

I was allowed to review, but not to keep, a copy of these reports to enable me to alert the State Department. I prepared a two-page summary and shared it with Nuland, who indicated that, like me, she felt that the secretary of state needed to be made aware of this material.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/...40db938776

The Sec of State? WTF? I thought that shyte was so hot they couldn't evaluate it and needed to hotshot it over to the FBI? And did you note she says Steele "passed" information but doesn't say to whom he passed it? Later Winer says it was he who passed it to her? Why the coverup Victoria?

I think you see where I'm going with this. I bet Nunes is going to do something similar to what Mueller is doing to trap people.....gather all that data, compare the statements (eventually under oath) and see who's trying to BS and then try to learn why.

The difference between what Nunes will be doing and what Mueller is doing is that Mueller is examining crap from 2012 that had nothing to do with Trump, Russian collusion, or election fraud.

Nunes will be dealing with data from 2016 received from a foreign agent, including Russians, and paid for with oppositon funds that were illegally funneled to a law firm in an effort to hide the fund's provenance. That foreign data was then disseminated within a donk administration, and later to the MSM with the specific intent to harm an opposition presidential candidate and ultimately affect the outcome of a presidental election.

All I can say is that it's a brilliant move. That's the best way of finding out who's lying and it's on paper. Those same questions will be asked to verify what's on paper. Burn them Nunes, baby.

Ask ole Schiffty if he was laughing when Nunes won his lawsuit to get the financial records of Fusion GPS. Totally blew up this whole leftist conspiracy. At some point laughing and calling Trump dumb is gonna bite your ass. But I bet you don’t even notice.

I’ll say it again; that memo of Schifftys will never see the light of day. They can’t even leak a lie about it that would convince anyone but Mach and cb.

Did Nunes do this by himself, or is it on behalf of the GOP members of the House Intelligence Committee? If it’s the committee overall, then the questions were probably drafted by Gowdy-not-Nunes.

Good question, and I can't answer it. All I know is that I love the strategery.

I'm guessing this is part of Nunes' Phase II of the investigation. I suspect the questionaire went out to State Department employees, and who knows, perhaps some in the White House. If they don't respond, they do so at the threat of a congressional supoena.

No one is going to take this upon their self so I say it was talked about by a committee. It might not be with in the next couple months but at some point this year....

conclusion with a foreign agent charges will be brought and it wont be Trump. I don't think it matter which country and friend or foe doesn't matter. Right now these people are not feeling the heat or threat of going to federal prison. Once that happens this will break wide open and quickly.

Connect the dots

Interesting.

I’dve included a “clause” or whatever, that you are not to discuss this with anyone except private counsel, and those conversations are to remain private.

As in, no ringing up Susan Rice to see how she plans to answer/not answer.

Bet the vast array, and imaginations used in answering these basic questions will be fascinating.

Watch the worms squirm.
