Can they photoshop fans into the seats?

Only if we can Photoshop out our local weathermen. They over hyped a ice storm. Our remaining blue hairs hate ice any way (rightfully so) and while the ice wasn't awful it wasn't good either.

Edited: Tulsa cancelled classes after 4pm. Our students showed up. Benefit of on campus arena/stadium.

It was definitely nice to get the win without Shamet and Reaves (who was plagued with foul trouble). We had many chances to put this one over 20 but Tulane kept battling back. Do they lose anybody next year? I thought I heard that they bring basically everybody back. If that's the case, I see them making a solid push for upper half, if not higher next year.

A broken fanbase or a broken conference...

If I'd have known our win down in Cincy would kill the entire board I would have wished for us to lose. We had a lot of people rooting against us on Sunday...

Had best shooting percentage of anyone against UCF all year, we shot 52% the previous best against them was 45%. 3rd highest point total allowed by them in conference behind wsu and Cincy road games.

I'm impressed UCF has great defense.

I also heard UCF and Tulsa commit the fewest fouls per game in the conference.

Douchey response... weathermen acted like there was going to be a huge ice storm, so a lot of people stayed home. But cool remark for absolutely no reason.

Chill the hell out. I was razzing TU4ever. He likes it and understood it.

We had the ice show up here too and we still packed in 10k.

It's absolutely amazing. Not one BooCat post the entire game day thread (besides the OP).

Broken might be putting it nicely.

Hoping for Cincy to drop 3/4 and Tulsa to win out the regular season. It would cement my 3rd place prediction!!!

That's only because "we have nothing to do in Kansas/Wichita/Iowa/Idaho". We're so bored we're willing to risk life and limb to watch a silly college basketball game.

Or... watching a game at Koch Arena is like snorting coke while wearing electrified nipple clamps and having a cattle prod shoved up your...

It's a helluva great time and a privilege whenever the doors are open. Surviving the 90's offers great perspective on the concept of enjoying the ride. Those of us in Wichita are enjoying the hell out of it and have been doing so for a very long time now.

I tried like hell to pull them out of the cracks and crevices of this place with the missing person's thread but no such luck. They are either protesting, crying, or just plain shell-shocked. No fun at all. It's just a game for Pete's sake.

I must employ a new strategy.

Tulsa is actually within striking distance of becoming a Q1 win for anyone that beats them on their court

I'm guessing they'd have to beat Temple on Senior Night for that to actually happen. They'll likely take a shellacking at Cincy then won't make up much ground by winning at ECU next game.

3 more wins for Tulsa and they are going to very, very close.

You would be correct. If they beat ECU and Temple and lose to WSU or Cincy in the semis their RPI should be around 70 which would be Q1. If they lose to Temple but everything else stays the same their RPI should be about 85 which would be Q2.

The team that would be helped the most by Tulsa finishing well is WSU since they won at TU and neither Cincy or Houston will play at Tulsa this year. However both Cincy and Houston can pick up Q2 home wins.

Any chance UCF and Tulsa both finish Top 75? Can Temple can finish Top 30?

This. The UCF - Tulsa game was a good matchup in terms of what's at stake, but I wasn't exactly going to follow a game thread for it.

Unless they lose games they shouldn't both should be top 75. UCF is upper 60s right now and Tulsa is upper 70s. Losses to WSU and Cincy won't hurt either so win the ones they are suppose to depending on the tourny match ups both should be 60s/70.

Temple as a top 30 depends on how many and who they win. 18 gets them mid 30s, 19 low 30s. 20 could put them inside 30.
