Let's hope we continue to play like we have recently, without him.

Might affect their chances at UConn Sunday but likely won't stop them from beating ECU and USF to wrap up.

Honestly, I think the whole team does better without him. Hate to say that. I love the guy. But facts is facts.

RE: Jeremiah Martin out 4-6 months
I think it's adjustment. Early in the year he had to do it all. Lately other players have made some steps up and you have more options. However he was still in the do all mode, and the team was in that mode too. When he is out you play with more flow and everyone seems to be looking for that opportunity to make a play. Not sure how likely a tournament run to get in the NCAA's was before, but I think making the NIT for Memphis and UCF will yield benefits next year with developing non star players. That will make it harder to defeat them next year.

Welcome to the club Memphis. Lose another starter and you can join us and UCF in the VIP lounge lol.

Yeah, losing Martin really hurt us against SMU and Houston. Our 2 best wins of the season.

I think it will be difficult to continue making 53%, 54%, and 80% from three, the field, and free throw; respectively. Martin is our best overall player from a statistical and ball handling perspective and is among AAC leaders in many categories (http://sidearm.sites.s3.amazonaws.com/th...tats.pdf). I think his contributions will be hard to replace.

If this was early in the season, I would agree. You can't miss your best scorer all season. But 2 of our remaining games are at home vs. USF and ECU, and the third is against UConn. Two likely wins and a tossup.

Assuming wins against USF and ECU, a 5 or 6 seed is likely. That means ECU or USF in the AACT, then either the 4 seed (Tulsa?) or 3 seed (Houston?) next.

Based on our performance in the 2 games without Martin, and the few games remaining, I seriously doubt Martin's absence will matter much to the final results.

Does the AAC lead all conferences with key player injuries? Memphis, SMU, UCF, and WSU all have had huge injuries.

ECU as well. Our starting center and only center broke his foot.
