Big thing is it'll speed up games. Instead of TV timeouts at 16/12/8/4- you'll have TV timeouts at the 5 minute mark of the quarter. But the bigger change is with the fouls. You'll find those reset each quarter- going to double bonus at 5. So like go to last years title game where there were 10 fouls by the 10 minute mark of the half. Last year- every foul from there on, double bonus. With quarters- first 4 common fouls are just inbounds plays.
I understand the foul situation, but there will be extended TV timeouts after each quarter anyway.
there would be 1 tv timeout each quarter and then 1 between the quarters. So instead of 8 timeouts (4 each half) there would be 6 timeouts (4 in quarters and 2 in between quarters).

NIT Rules Changes
Leave the game alone, these fools changing the rules and halves will make it as unwatchable as the NBA.

RE: NIT Rules Changes
Just a quick observation watching some basketball games. Players taking a 3 pt shot have the vast majority of the time crept close to the line. Some were taken around the FIBA line and the percentage isn't as good as the current line.

I see a few guys who hit well deeper than the NBA line but I also see guys turning down an 18 foot shot to creep out to the line and miss
