Man, that was ugly. Caver makes a big difference, but I wonder if his absence caused us to play so poorly? Thoughts?
That offense foul called on him was a major joke. Phantom calls quick a few times, but they were fouling Trey a lot, no calls. Refs were crappy.

The non fouls on breakaway layups were frustrating. Guys dont just miss open layups at this level.

Caver (sick), Haynes, and Stith were awful.

I don't get the thing with caver tonight. If he was so sick, why did he play at all? Then he comes in for a bit and gets a T. Then he sits the rest of the night.

Definitely. Pickney was good in that he didn't turn the ball over but he also only had 4 assists. The 6 points he brought was needed though. Also we shot horribly from 3 tonight. But I also think some of that was caver not in there to set up the shooters. I'd rather caver be sick right now than next week. Get healthy.

Haynes did have 16 points. May not have been in efficient manner but they were needed. Those back to back 3s he had came at a very good time

Those were def needed. But stith/Haynes still were awful and then played the end of the game like they were freshman. Luckily Brandan had the putback and porter the and1

Dave just said on the broadcast that he asked Ahmad what he said to the ref and he swore that he didn’t say anything to the ref. He said he just rolled the ball towards him.

We've completely lost the mojo we had. Sad to say, bit I think we peaked too early.

Yes, he dropped the ball and it rolled over and hit his leg. Over sensitive IMO.

RE: FAU pt II
Maybe not a big deal but I would much rather get the 2 seed and face FIU than UAB.

It might be more difficult, but we should still beat FIU. That would give Caver time to heal before the tournament. What a game by Trey tonight. He's turned into an outstanding player for us. If he stays for his senior year, he might just find his name in the rafters one day.

Look, they had a huge run and we overcame it. Basketball is a game of runs. Team much improved from last year. Unfortunately, we are the third place team in CUSA. It is what it is.

I'm just glad Caver isn't injured. Wasn't able to follow tonight, read the stat line, and saw Pinkney's minutes and thought, "oh shite."

He wasn't there last night. The only guy dressed in a suit was Loren Brill. I assume it had to do with midterms.

I noticed that last night, as well. I hope it was something simple.

BTW, JJ said the starting lineup Saturday will include Mc Clinton (plus Brandan, Haynes, Vassor and Pinkney). Look for zone.
