NIT bracketology

Currently has UCF (7) and Temple (5) in, with Tulsa and Memphis among the first four out. Memphis could jump in with a win today.

Another with Temple (5) and UCF (7) in.

Not a NIT bracket per se, but usually teams ranked in Coleman's Top 85 who miss the NCAA get an NIT bid.

Currently, Temple (47), UCF (77) would rate bids, with Tulsa (82) on the bubble. Memphis (96) needs help. SMU (95) appears out of it.

If Tulsa misses the NIT, you have to wonder if the Memphis loss was the death knell.

Good finds, thanks. The head scratching blow out loss to USF killed Memphis' NIT hopes unless we somehow manage to beat Cincy.

I agree, but I hold hope until all hope is lost. Hope for better days is all Memphis has these days.

of course....its why they play the games

sadly, I don't think any of these games mean anything from an NCAA seeding perspective (at least not for the American). I think they already have UC, WSU and UH on their seedling lines.

Did not see them listed but the loser of SDSU and UNM will be in. Fresno is also a good candidate.

Tulsa needed to win at least one game in the conference tournament to firm up its NIT chances. Otherwise our NIT chances are really iffy and against the odds. Now the only chance Tulsa has to make the NIT depends on other teams winning or losing depending on the stars to line up just perfectly. Most Tulsa fans think we are out. The Memphis game was really Tulsa's ticket to the NIT this year. If you don't win the games you need to win, you don't deserve to play in the post season.

RE: NIT bracketology
Way too many conference tourney upsets for TU to make it. If it was the old NIT before the NCAA took it over I would feel good about our chances but the guaranteed spots are killing any chance we had.
