Joining the Murray Mules, who beat the devil out of Belmont yesterday.

Which helps a little. That's now a Quad1 win as well as a top 50 road win.

David Lipscomb out of Nashville won the A-Sun. I bet Belmont none too happy about that (-;

They have a player named Garrison (my son's name) that is all-world. I love watching him play.

I believe they have a Western transfer, as well.

Yes Rob Marberry (walked on at WKU freshmen season), he showed flashes his freshmen year here at WKU, he has turned into a good player for them....My dad went to school at DL one season then got smart and transferred to WKU...

Rob Marberry walked on for Western and was promised a scholarship the next year. I sit with his parents at all the away games. I was very disappointed when Western did not honor his scholarship.

Great kid and his parents are very knowable about the game. Plus they aren't the type of parents to think their son never makes a mistake. We were in NY for a tourney and Robs mother told me if he messes up or gets too full of himself she has no problems with a coach adjusting him and he would get worse if he came complaining to her

Really glad to see this kid getting to the NCAA tourney and playing very well...very good parents and a great kid

The same thing may have happened in the case of Travis Fields. I know he was a freshman walk-on at ODU and played last season as the back-up PG to Caver. I know when he was brought in the newspaper quoted Jones as saying that he would be on scholarship after the initial year, then he left shortly after the season ended and a month or two later signed with Radford. I've thought since then that Jones did not go through with the scholarship as promised and Fields either had to, or decided to leave for financial reasons.

One thing is for sure ... Caver is playing 38 - 40 minutes a game more out of necessity this season than out of desire, and that wasn't the case last season.
