Look for the Knights to make a HUGE jump in the polls this week.

Doubt it, Siena sucks, and polls don’t care too much about midweek victories. Probably more of a 4-5 spot jump

You do realize UCF swept 2 games from #1 Florida during the week, right? That's what should bump our poll position. Sweeping Siena merely maintains it. Losing even one game would have erased much of what was gained in the UF wins. It was a very uninspired sweep, but the W's are all that matters.

Siena is winless on the year and hasnt even played a home game so far!

Poor guys. Maybe playing the first month on the road is due to weather ?

Regardless, UCF has another HUGE opportunity on Wednesday when they play Miami U at home.

That type of schedule is very common for a lot of northern teams every year. That's why many of them over the years have pushed for the season to start in March. The warmer climate schools obviously oppose that. The NCAA compromised a few years ago to start the season in mid February. Teams used to be able to start in late January/early February.

Wow. I know baseball RPI swings widely this early in the season, but UCF's RPI went from #100 to 59 after beating UF twice during the week, then dropped to 80 after sweeping Siena this weekend.

Damn.

Anyone know when the top 25 is released tomorrow ?

Baseball America has us at 23rd but I hope we woild get into the top 15 when the new rankings come out.

As for the other rankings, I think we'll be around 20-ish or so. Florida will probably drop to 5-ish or so.

Yes, like I said UCF is not going to move up hugely because of two midweek wins.

WSU finished off the sweep of UTA 5-4 yesterday. Now 11-2 on the year.

This week we have a midweek against Mizzou and a weekend series against Creighton.

Wasn't UConn ranked somewhere in one of those polls ? TBH, there are so many damn D1 BB polls out there that I have trouble keeping track of them...

Looks fine to me. The next few weeks are where we really find out who we are. Maryland, @ UCF, Wichita, @ Washington. Littered with some instate foes during the week. Hopefully UCF and wichita can be against top 25 teams

Hope Dwayna and GW are healthy come conference play

They lost back to back series to scrub teams. Doubt they are ranked anywhere anymore
