Good read on our TV deal
This site breaks it down a bit. Also, this site is a good read for CUSA news.

The general feeling across the league’s internet fans is that this is tentatively good

He couldn't be more wrong. Read this board and Twitter. People are upset.

Good find. Here's Matt Sarzyniak's blog on the subject.

I will say this-- it's not as bad as we originally thought, a couple of days ago. A least for me.

RE: Good read on our TV deal
I can't find a good place to insert this comment, so I'll do it here.

BeIn has a quality product. Their issue is that they seem to pick really crappy games.

Alcorn at FIU (gross)
Bethune Cookman at FAU (gross)
UAB at UNT (Ok)
Middle at UAB (Ok)
UAB at Charlotte (Yuck)
UTEP at Middle (Yuck)
Army at UNT (Best draw of the year)
WKU at FIU (Pretty Good)

With Charlotte and UTEP being themselves, Middle being mediocre this year, UAB being a restart, and two other FCS games, I can't believe they don't diversify the selection of games a bit more. It seems like they should try to pick at least a representative sampling of the conference, to minimize the chance of getting a dud.

True, but in what order did they get to pick versus the other networks. In there defense, MT was suppose to compete for a conference title until the wheels fell off with innuries.

That was a nice review through rose colored glasses. Being an alumni not living in a CUSA market presently - this deal allows for almost zero chance of actual television watching for me.

I still prefer TV to the internet - the quality of games I've tried to view, when the games actually show up as assumed has been lousy. More of that is not an improvement, even if we're getting 4 pennies instead of 2 pennies.

Bingo! My feelings exactly.

Although I have watched a few exceptional quality UNT games on Facebook, Stadium, etc., I still prefer regular TV.07-coffee3

I have zero issues watching a game that is streaming provided I can see it on my HDTV via Roku, Chromecast or whatever.

It really depends on one's twitter feed. The tweets I saw and the immediate reaction to the results from fans, media, and my own perceptions were that it was positive -- even if 51% positive. It was at least better than the previous deal.

I agree with this. It may be out of their hands. If they had a college game day type of deal where they would pick the best game of the week, that would be better for everyone.

Valid objection. As a long time NT fan, I am just happy to have my team on _something_ that I can see. I would prefer television but I can live with a stream. It is not ideal, but what I like is that they are working to make the productions better. CBS producing television and putting it on facebook is better than hoping the students at UTEP can put together a good enough ESPN3 stream for us.

Since he has quoted Ed Miller from VA pilot so many times, I think you guys may want to read his full article and give him some traffic too
