For all the talk on here recently about how Tubby is a great coach, future hall of famer, and so on, no one on this board that has or may have a coaching vacancy has seriously suggested hiring Tubby as their coach.

I made a post on another board wondering if MTSU would be interested, and the response was universally negative.

considering he has no offset clause I expect him to find some school where he can bring in GG and Saul as asst coaches.

Totally untrue! I've been there twice for SMU games. Got a space literally in front of Liacouras once...less than a block the other. But what it DOESN'T have is The Tavern!

Actually attendance sucked this year so it wasnt terribly hard. Now if the coach excels, then you're in trouble. Anytime you can score free parking in the city its a win

Mike Lonergan has a great track record as a head coach. His firing from GWU, where he won the NIT, has probably humbled him. Perhaps he's even sought help for his anger issues.

That said, I think Fran Dunphy will be back next year.
