I wish our athletic program has had half the success as theirs since Dec. '11....

Or the seriously wealthy boosters, and university president, willing to do what it takes to climb conferences (see TCU).

Very similar play, only difference was the WKU game was in overtime and it still holds the record for made threes in a game

I have to admit I had a lil smile on my face when that shot went in, knowing that Houston was going home.

We did the all-time greatest double-front-flip-faceplant from '11 to '12. 12-2 to 0-12. Leadership turnover. Split factions. Tornados. We were due. It was epic. We survived, and started a new winning streak. Obviously skipped-over a crapload of details. lol.

We owned most of the programs that left C-USA. We helped legitimize their programs. We're doing the same for some of our present conference-mates. UTSA competes with Houston for recruits now. FIU and FAU can say the same about USF and UCF. ECU can't be happy with competing with Charlotte presently. Sure, leave us behind. We'll just raise the bar for those that will play us. Heck, Rice won the title when we borked!

Ordinarily, I always cheer against the "power" conferences, however I was thrilled when Houston went down because of the AAC and their make up P6 crap.

Only reason we’re happy is because it’s one less Texas team we have to worry about winning the National Championship.

Bites even more for the AAC considering next year's basketball distribution will be the last one with the units the AAC paid off the Big East for. It needs every unit it can get.

The score for the five years since the split including 2018 is Big East 52, AAC 27, and counting. And 11 of those AAC units from 2014 drop off after April 2020.

I can't stand their fans. They thought they were much much better than everyone else. As good as they were in football then they were only 2-2 against Marshall and in basketball the years we shared a conference together Marshall was 7-2 against them.

Plus they hired Kelvin Samson who is known to freely commit NCAA violations while recruiting illegally and then try and hide them. Wouldn't surprise me if he isn't doing it at Houston too.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that as part of the BE breakup negotiations, those distributions only went to the original BE schools--Cincinnati, Connecticut, and South Florida.

Yeah, AAC fans don't have one-tenth the arrogance of the B1G. Aside from Wichita fans I suspect most AAC fans are overwhelmingly in favor of Marshall curbstomping WVU.

The Big East units are gone for everybody after next April's distribution.

I know when it ends. I thought you were implying that it was a conference-wide hit. 10 out of 13 schools are not affected. Bites for those three, yes, but not the conference as a whole.

No. Your fans (students?) shouted more vulgar things during the game and half time at us during my one trip there to set my mind. Had the opportunity to be around a lot of opposing fans. UH was not trying to be clever or funny. It was all obscene and just trashy. It was not a legit environment.

Houston is about to open a renovated area and have Kelvin Sampson. They'll be fine.
