Franklin now is 9/9 stolen bases.....has a comparable OBP to Monte with a 1/3 fewer at bats.....Monte has 1 with a much higher slugging percentage.....

Eagles leave seven in the last three innings...keeping that bat in the shoulder to get deep in the pitch count is really working out for us. Nine more strike outs tonight, five looking....

i was kinda hoping Bowen would keep the bat on his shoulder that last plate appearance with the bases loaded and being 0-4 on the day with 2 or 3ks.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

update on Franklin's BA/OBP/SLG....

Fred Franklin Southern Miss CF .262 .360 .262

that puts his OBP higher than Boyd, Keating, and Donaldson.....

he also has only 4 fewer runs scored than Monte with 66 fewer appearances at the plate.....

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........9/9 stolen bases.......that's quite tasty.....

oh yeah, Franklin only has 5 fewer Runs scored vs. Guidry with 49 fewer plate appearance....Guidry is killing us at the 2

We just haven’t been able to get much from our DHs this season.

I would say “SHOULDN’T HAVE CUT VIAENE!!!1111!1111” but he’s hitting .202 in D2.

which lends to why Wallner should be the DH and on the mound in any capacity....

regardless, when your DH is hitting in the 6 or 7 slot, that's not a good sign long term....

just move Guidry to the 6 and put 'speedy' at the 1, and move Monte to the 2.....Berry has nothing to lose moving forward at this point....

you could swap Guidry and Keating at the 6/7 if you wanted.....their stats are almost identical....however, Guidry gets on base more.....therefore, I put Guidry at the 6....

the numbers justify these moves.....to be honest, I'm tired of repeating myself....

I don't make the numbers up off the top of my head.....they're right here for all to analyze....

At this point, I wouldn’t mind just throwing Keating back in there and dealing with the Ks. At least you get power and speed.

Offense would probably be fine if Guidry or Irby were hitting within 30-40 points of what they were last year.

Keating still isn't 100%, I think. He pinch ran last night so he may be close to returning.

Reynolds picked off at 1st to end the inning.

Cue Augie Garrido's "HOW CAN WE ******* GET PICKED OFF AT 1ST BASE?!?!?!?"

RE: baseball at FIU
Not really sure what Maack gives you that Bowen doesn’t bring more of.

I’ve said all along that Berry seems to just be grasping at straws instead of letting anyone stay in the lineup long enough. You get about three games to hit at a .300 clip and if you don’t, you’re back on the bench. He may have to accept that .220-.250 is the best we will get out of that spot.
